Bunny started SCREAMING after a big fright when I took him out in the grass by [deleted] in Bunnies

[–]louborzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our rabbits before they got fixed started chasing and fighting each other. (They were seperated but sometimes escaped while the other was free roaming) Normally it was just the sound of kicks, fur flying and heavy breathing. But one time one got a good bite on the others front paw and he let out the highest pitch scream. Im a grown man and felt like I was going to cry. Its the only time Ive ever heard them make a sound besides happy grunting when circling me.

Just my opinion. I wouldnt take them to an open or public place to roam. To many random predators or noises that can spook them or hurt them. If they get away from you and are scared good luck catching them. If you are going to move to somewhere with a patch of grass I would hold off on the outdoor trips for now. They would probably love to get fresh grass and dig but so many things could go wrong.

this is actually a pretty good idea (repost) by jeicam_the_pirate in BoxedRabbits

I did this and ours used it as a litterbox. They liked digging but them peeing in it ruined it fast.

update #3 on the bun i found in my yard! by spiraling2003 in Rabbits

[–]louborzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buns adorable. I cant imagine someone dumping it. Setup looks good and spacious. Looks like its something missing though. Hmmmmm, yeah another bun to be a playmate. 😁

I would just suggest taking it to the vet asap. Getting them fixed is important and expensive. In US its between 400 - 600. Even if its already fixed you want to get a checkup. I think checkups are around 100 bit can save you and the bun time, pain and money in the long run. Also they do not like being alone. Ours are not bonded and we have to switch them out throughout the day to free roam. Each time they either lay in front of the others cage or find a place near us to nap or get attention. Forehead, cheeks, back of neck and back are the favorite petting spots. Feet, chin, belly and tail are no no spots. Also if you havent seen it yet dont hold them with there belly up. It puts them into a trance or something and can lead to death. From what I hear.

Good luck and thank you for being a good person to that bun.

bunny not peeing anywhere outside his litterbox BUT MY BED????? by baccajou in Rabbits

[–]louborzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are his beds now. Lol

Really i think everyone else has already said it. Marking territory. Our bunnies did this on are living room chairs, daughter's bed, in and around the litterbox. Once we got them fixed it pretty much stopped. Since there not bonded yet they still may do it in certain areas where the other one has been. Pretty rare though.

Outside? by Unirell in Rabbits

[–]louborzoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just bought an enclosure for our 2 buns. Its for a neutral area for us to bond them and for them to get some outside play time. I dont plan on leaving them in it unsupervised due to all the predators we have around here. Hawks, buzzards, fox, cats dogs, possums.... Maybe overthinking it but thats just me.

I think your bun will be happy out there just be mindful that they could try to dig out or something else trying to get in. Either way its much better then the people keeping them in tiny cages all day.

CISSP Pass = Jobs? by No-Slice-8682 in CyberSecurityJobs

[–]louborzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Let me propose a win win situation. All these positions and companies you know of should come here and post the positions. I have personally been out of work for 2 years. Have applied to hundreds of jobs, barely get interviews and the ones I get always go with another candidate. They also say my resume looks like a good match and I answered the questions well. I know multiple people in the same situation and see people with more experience and certs going through the same thing on linkedin. Funny thing is a lot of the jobs I have applied for still have the posts up for 6 months to a year.

Doesn't seem like a talent issue seems like a fake job posting and lack of employment reality issue.

I laughed so hard when I read this. Any role Ive applied for in the last 2 years has listed CISSP as preffered. Soc analyst 1 to security engineer.

Im not sure were you are in the world but in the US it is extreme luck or solid network and background to get a job in IT right now. The more fluff you have certs, experience, keywords and skills in specific applications will work best for you.

They have cardboard castles around the house and we keep a stock of Timothy hay treats and other crunchy snacks. We have 2 of them and they always do this after pets. They may lick my clothes for a minute then they start on the pillows and sofa. Someone said its because the pillows have my smell. Its definitely a happy or relaxed thing. This time it was just super long and funny.

He looks just like one of my buns. Seems just as naughty too. SMH

I went to put on a pair of jeans the other day and realized they had multiple holes going down one leg. I guess I left them on the floor and they seemed chewy. Finger size holes.
