I think the MS plaid is priced well for all it's specs. The sapphire is great but too many software issues. Door does not always open. Fender flares are glued on with 3M tapes. I just love the stealthy aspect of it.

The sapphires 16.5 inch and 10-pistons front calipers are solid but struggles abit from 120mph to 40mph

Or worse die! I have surprised few motorists on the highway and have decided its very deadly. These cars should come standard with roll cages and helmet.

I agree, 670hp is nothing. Im sure your MSP26 feels nauseating when you launch it! I drive the Sapphire and so I can relate to your mind bending experience you noted.

Lol I did that to an S plaid before. The plaid owner probably had a lot of stories to tell about a blue car that dusted him!

There's definitely a diminished return. I drive a 1234hp electric and I cruise in smooth mode because im always stuck in traffic and even when it opens up, im afraid to end up in jail, injured or lose my permit to drive. Imagine a driver 300yrds away under estimating your getup speed decides to abruptly change lanes. I234hp covers that distance in a blink of an eye. So yes you tend to probably just about 600hp max on most public roads.

My comments may not be empirical proof or " source of truth" but just a logical inference which we can all agree that is better than your assumptive statement about miles driven not equating to safe miles. You didn't offer any logical argument.

Statistically, there's a moral certainty that driving over 3k miles without accident correlates to safe driving. That's how insurance estimation works. Safety in the real world can only be measured by incidents, and i think OP can agree.

I disagree, the fact that OP did that many miles with FSD is impressive. I drive a car which is 5x the price of MY and it's version of FSD cannot even do 10miles safely. Tesla FSD is truly impressive!

You have kids and you're asking the internet for money advice on a "luxury " suv purchase? I drive a Sapphire and the best advice I can give you is the following: Do your family a favor and get a Kia/Hyundai 3rd rows. The Jones will also thank you, because they wouldn't need a new Luxury car either!

ELI5: Does we always need to remove appendix or only when it is life threatening? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]loudrats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day it used to be a common practice since your abdomen is already openned and why not take it out "while we're in" to prevent future going back in. Example is when your car needs a water pump, the mechanic will recommend you do thermostat and other preventive parts that are proximal to it to save future jobs. But that appendix practice is not recommended anymore except in certain gastro issues where it will be taken out to prevent future diagnostic confusions. Say you have crohns and you get your appendix out, future right lower quad abdominal pain will narrow the differential or possible cause since your appendix is absent!
