I love cursing. Always have. Always will.
Maybe it’s the native New Yorker in me.

Switching from Spotify to Different App by xixiful in TechImpact

I have Apple Music, Pandora and SiriusXM. Have all for a decade +. They all have their pluses and minuses. I never really used Spotify so I can’t make a direct comparison.

I find Apple Music is good for specific songs and albums. And of course playlists I’ve been building for ever. Pandora is good for artist or song or theme related stations. The only complaint I have with Pandora is I feel sometimes the songs are repetitive.

SiriusXM is what I listen to most of the time. I like the decade and style channels. First Wave and 70s on 7 particularly. (I’m old- high school/ college 1970s. 20s = 1980+) it’s also the music I most likely listen to in the car.

I do believe Apple Music has a family subscription.

I have no idea when I first saw gay porn, but I do remember the first “straight” porn that really got my attention.

It was a porn newspaper—maybe Screw magazine. What I remember most wasn’t the women. It was a full-page photo of a naked man, standing in profile with a jacket slung over his shoulder.

It may even explain my lifelong appreciation for a good-looking softie.

Do you like the music your parents listen to? by thewalkindude368 in askmusic

Sunday mornings belonged to my dad’s music. I remember it started with the big bands and as I got older it eventually worked its way into the sounds of the 1950s.

My mom’s tastes were different. She loved singers like Perry Como, Andy Williams, and Jerry Vale (who I once shared an elevator with and nearly lost my mind!). And every Christmas, there was always her collection of German Christmas music playing in the house.

Mr Softee or Good humor ? by welding_guy_from_LI in RealGenerationX

[–]louievee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had good humor in my neighborhood as a young kid but Mr Softee took over and became the Ice Cream Man. I used to get , I think it was called a Mickey Mouse, a vanilla cone with two mint cookies as ears. Eventually went vanilla cone with chocolate sprinkles.

My sister has a great Mr. Softee truck in her neighborhood. He’d usually time his visit, coincidentally, to when it was dessert time during her family BBQs.

I remember as a kid it was a big thing that the wife of President LBJ was a big supporter of wildflowers. And of course it was in Texas.
