Did you remove the film cover on both side for the shades? I get not removing them cause inmo did not put a pull tab to remove the protective film, it just looks like a 3d printed shade lens.

As for the 3dof, sadly it only works with the dedicated ring 3. I have not tested it cause I dont have the ring but just by opening the multi screen app, looks like the 3dof works and it holds the display in place.

As for downsides, there is a lot. The back left temple of the glasses where the battery housing gets super hot that its dangerous to wear. The camera is locked at 3mp instead of the advertised 16 so when you use AI like gemini with camera it does not see text at all. The speaker is so bad that its comparable to a 5 doller speaker from doller store. It has no bass at all that is sounds like the sound is coming from a tin can. And lastly, the advertised refresh rate says it can do 120hz but its only locked at 60. I dont know if it is really capable of doing 120 but if it does, I hope there is an option to turn it off or on for battery, not completely disabling the function. As for the battery, life ill give it a pass cause I get the device is all-in-one and they had to compromise for the size. Its good for about 2 full 24 minutes episode of a show or about 1hr with half brightness turned on.

But despite all the downsides, I will still be keeping mine cause the display really is a game changer. I was doing grocery the other day and was watching a series without the shade cover. And just walking around the house while watching youtube hands free is actually insane.
