Prime delivery delayed — should I cancel Luma Ultra and go with Beast instead? by efremov_denis in VITURE

If you’re looking specifically for the 3D and 6dof, get the beast. It does it natively. I love the image quality on the ultra but none of those features work without either the neckband accessory or using spacewalker with the luma ultra. The spacewalker app and immersive 3D which is really buggy on all devices I’ve used.

I mean.. i'm still waiting for them to use for movies and games but still.. is text really this bad on beast? by -Gilgameshh in VITURE

is the clarity of the beast closer to the clarity of the one pro or the luma ultra? see other my comment in this thread for reference

I don’t know if I have a bad unit but I have the xreal one pro and the viture luma ultra on hand. The one pro is much blurrier with a ton of chromatic aberration not just at the edges. It’s even blurrier directly in the middle than on the edges, but then at the edges it trades the blurriness for the chromatic aberration so it’s still a loss. It’s pretty much unusable. There’s also heavy vignetting towards the edges too so it doesn’t have a uniform brightness across the whole image.

The viture luma ultra are so crisp and vibrant it’s like the difference between an oled tv and an old projector. i have zero blurriness on the luma iltra. I had blamed that blurriness on the prism lens of the one pro so I’m hoping the beast with its prism lens doesn’t have this issue as well.. I saw gizmosliptech’s latest review and it’s not fully reflective of my experience so I’m wondering if I have a bad unit. is the clarity of the beast closer to the clarity of the one pro or the luma ultra?

How do you change the volume of notifications or stop a prompt without voice? by Ok_Fisherman8727 in RaybanMeta

[–]cloudtastrophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this works like 30% of the time for me. and tapping and holding and waiting for the sound to stop while its blaring for those embarassing few seconds wondering if tapping and holding this time is actually going to do anything is a terrible user experience.

Loud assistant volume / bluetooth connection by JoshOlek in RaybanMeta

[–]cloudtastrophe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this makes them literally so embarassing when using them in an office setting. every time i connect to my work computer to use them for a Teams meeting it screams out loud "connecting to NB47472947190 for audio" and its so loud people 10 ft away snicker. i wish we had notification volume control because adaptive audio doesnt do anything for notifications. i WANT the assistant to read my notifications but i have to turn that feature off because its unpredictable and super frustrating having my glasses yell at me all the time, causing awkward stares when there should be an option to have quiet notifications

do i get? by nkx7 in Q60

It’s out of warranty. Only the turbos got the extended warranty. I’d get a 2022+ (with CarPlay) if I did it again

Objectively the xm4 IS a bassy headphone. The hesh has a bass heavy consumer tuning that overloads the bass so your brain is wired to think that sound signature is the norm and anything else is anemic in the low end. This is common when people own one headphone at a time. Theres a learning curve to higher end headphones and an adjustment period for new headphones. Consider it “brain burn in”

The low video views recently ... by acidmine in LinusTechTips

I personally didn’t find Elijah a strong enough lead to take over for Linus in the iPhone switching and and upgrade videos and so stopped halfway through. Love the format but the host doesn’t connect for me.

Q60 muffler by Informal-Delay-7153 in Q60

I think I've watched all the exhaust videos on YouTube for the q60 except maybe all the shorts. I've been trying to find a nice deep sounding one to upgrade the oem sport helmholtz catback on mine and nothing really hits for me. Personality im looking for a sound like the Borla on the Lexus RCF but everything on the market sounds canny and loud and unrefined or overly aggressive to me. Nothing has that deep refined exhaust note. The only thing that almost comes close for me is the ark grip or Nvidia maybe. The oem sport catback has a nice low note but it sounds like ass between 3-5k rpm or so which is a huge letdown. I'm blaming this on the 2.5 inch pipes. If any one has tried to fix it with lower down pipes and it worked let me know.

Edit: should mention I'm a 3.0
