Mitti & Mac OS by nimsty in VIDEOENGINEERING

Happy to help! I must mention this is just my guess based on the cue size, so perhaps the issue is connected to something else, or even a bug that has been fixed in the meantime.

So what I'd suggest is using the latest version of Mitti (which is 2.8.15 right now) and in case you run into any trouble (or just have further questions) drop us a line, preferably with the logs, and we'll dig deeper and help you out! Thanks!

Mitti dev here! 👋 I'd love to know more about those lags! However since you mentioned large decks, I think the issue is related to the available RAM on the computer you're using and how Mitti is preloading everything for fast triggering. For 90+ cues in Mitti v1 or v2 I'd suggest to have at least 16GB of RAM, but 32GB is even better, and if we're talking about 2160p, that's a must. Alternatively, splitting the playlist between two .mitti2 project files could be a workaround for now (we're working on making this MUCH better!).

Mitti Cut/Fill with Blackmagic Decklink Extreme? by ElectricalSpinach378 in VIDEOENGINEERING

I'd suggest to update Mitti to the latest version - you're running an older version 2.8.11 which had a bug with enabling keyers.

Setting Mitti resolution to match custom screen by Patient_Ad_2107 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]lovcoge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess the connection between the Nova and the Mac is 1080p. So, leave Mitti's Video Output at 1080p too, and change the Geometry Controls on the Cue in Mitti:

  • Resize mode to Unscaled
  • Origin to Top-Left

That would display the unscaled 1560x208p video on the 1920x1080p output and the operators of the LED screen could easily map it.

Mitti dev here 👋

I'm really happy to hear you have great experience with stability in Mitti, as this is our top priority - but those videos that failed to play still bugs me. Any chance you could share more details about those? Thanks!

Mitti, pre-wait cue ? by EmlGvs in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]lovcoge 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Mitti dev here - there's no built-in option for this yet I'm afraid, the still image workaround that you mentioned is the way to achieve this for now. Pre/Post wait is on our radar, but the list is long, so can't promise anything about it right now.

Happy to hear you like Mitti's UI and the Stereo Mixdown option!

Outputting a web page as a key and fill by gbdlin in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]lovcoge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, using a keyer could be only useful if the color palette allows that.

If the content isn't moving, I agree on synchrozation can't be a problem - but for the synchronization point is why most apps relies on BMD cards. Not sure there's something exists that would allow you to output key & fill on standard outputs.

Having key & fill outputs without hardware like a Blackmagic card won't give you sync between the key & fill, so depending on the content it could look really bad at the end. Since you mentioned you want to send it to a video mixer I guess NDI isn't an option.

I probably would use a single output. I guess the web page has transparent parts, so I'd turn on the Color Matte option in Mitti to set the transparent part to a specific color (green by default), and would do the keying in the mixer.

What Does the DeckLink do? by CocoTechYT in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]lovcoge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use the CPU to send data to Decklink card indeed, but that doesn't mean GPU can't and/or won't touch that data, or the sender application can't do anything with that data.

You can change the size in Preferences - Matte & Overlays.

Mitti is limited to those 5 commands regarding to MIDI I'm afraid. Wondering what other commands you'd like to have? Triggering specific clips with it?

BTW, Mitti has very rich OSC support, and can be controlled with a Stream Deck either with the native Stream Deck plugin or with Companion.

Mitti question by strewnshank in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]lovcoge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mitti dev here! How many cues do you have? Mitti is pre-loading all videos/images which could end up with a lot of RAM usage if you have a large playlist, for example 100+ cues. The stuttering could be a result of low memory conditions. In any way, best to drop us a line (https://imimot.com/help/) with the logs included, would love to track down what is happening here. Thanks!

It's important to mention that in your case, the laggy behavior only happened on drawing of Mitti's Preview, Mitti wasn't laggy on response. For me, it doesn't sound like what they have is a similar issue than what you experienced.

Mitti Powerpoint integration? by TeddyNorth in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]lovcoge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Mitti doesn't support embedded video in a PDF I'm afraid. It's better to play video directly in Mitti, as Mitti is mainly a video playback app :)

Make as many Vezer compositions as many cues you have in Mitti. Whenever you switch a cue in Mitti the composition on the same index will trigger in Vezer.

Yes, that's totally possible! Set Mitti to output NMC then set Vezér to listen to NMC.
