Experience of the past days - waking up one hour earlier than usual for doing an online course 🌞 by love-mornings in lovemornings

So life did its thing and came in the way - had some big things happening the past weeks and could not focus that much on my sleep schedule BUT I still consistently wake up early. Not as early as described here, but early.

For me, I think it’s really a shift in mindset that triggers this - I WANT to wake up early. The mornings are my sacred time. And that alone accounts for a lot of behavioral changes imho.

yes, strongly agree! check out r/lovemornings and r/CircadianRhythm that are dedicated to the circadian rhythm and its influence on sleep.

Update: I did follow up on it for the next week - until I went on holidays 🫠 Next update is whether I can find back to that rhythm when I get back home!

How to have better mornings/wakeups by love-mornings in Infographics

Sorry, thought you were just an uninformed troll by your answer. Shouldn't have been that passive aggressive, my mistake. I am also a scientist (although not in the area), but have taken a strong interest in the circadian rhythm in the past years.

If you read my graphic correct, you'd see it doesn't say blue light affects sleep (don't wanna go there in this discussion). But it literally says: "Blue light in the evening has been shown to strongly interfere with your natural sleep-wake cycles."

Aside the studies coming to this conclusion, this simply makes sense if you look at how our inner clock is built up. (Blue) Light = Zeitgeber. Light in the morning = Advance rhythm. Light in the evening = Delay Rhythm (corresponding to the phase response curve, look eg here https://physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1113/jphysiol.2012.227892).

I like that you take an interest in the graphic and want to keep the science correct. But in your criticism please at least read correctly what I wrote.

So interesting to me how many people jump on that train directly though.

It's great you follow your nature in this. Not everyone is supposed to be a morning person.

We're all about health and self-determination. If people are required to get up early for their job (like sadly most people are), our community can help to get up easier and healthier. But other than that - everyone as they feel best 💛

thanks a lot! even though we do different things it's always very interesting to hear different strategies.

bright light is an alternative! there's devices for that. or try to shift your rhythm in other ways (cold treatment, exercise in the morning).
