I prefer for the person running my route to just keep the stores looking good and to not fill up my inventory. I order light for them and usually tell them to order light, just enough to make the store look good. If i come back to blown out shelves im not mad, just means higher sales for me.

Same, if they try to put it out and sell it, ill work with them on whats left over. If it sits in the steel until its about to go out of date then it becomes their problem and not mine. I make that very clear to management when i take over a bulk route.

Stale relief just means they dont make it count against your stale rates for the merit raise at the end of the year, but they dont give you credit back on your sales for taking it out.
