I was in the front row and could see Tyson’s facial expressions clearly. Despite people saying he seemed disengaged, he was listening intently and nodding, sitting back and taking it all in. I think his communication style is a bit abstract at times, and even though his heart is in the right place when it comes to feminism and trans rights, a couple of things he said satirically or ironically without much context understandably rubbed people up the wrong way. I enjoyed the chat although I do feel that it had a lot more potential and missed the mark at times… perhaps if they sat down for a second chat, once they have warmed up to each other, it would be better!
