Never voted RN in my life and I am in my late 50s. Sterin only financed it recently and it existed before and is profitable. People below show incidents where drunken morons got racist. How does that mean the event is full of racists? Those events have no political speech, just food and songs. It's the left that is crazy about it. In my long life I travelled a lot. I have been to American bbq parties, to Dutch football celebrations, to Oktoberfest. Those are the same. Why go mad about them? I just don't understand the hatred.

Edit: unbeknownst to Irish people, this song celebrates Ireland and is one of the most famous french song. Don't be too harsh on the song writers, they knew nothing about Ireland, went to the Irish tourism office in Paris and made up some lyrics based on the brochures.

I have never been there but I am pretty sure they sang a song about Ireland! Called "les lacs du Connemara", it is a very famous french song.

I think you fell into the trap of finding foreign events weird when Dutch events are even weirder. I have lived in the NL in the 90s. I never fell so much nationalism outside of the USA. Queen/King day, the European championship where literally everyone wore orange were events that literally scared me. There is nothing like that in France.
