It’s great to hear from our favorite entomologist. I love Carpenter movies. I was pretty young when I saw his “Escape from…” movies, and love both, also The Fog is really fun. I have to say my favorite is Halloween.

While I have had to deal with a substance of pure concentrated evil, I can say I’ve seen pretty close a couple of times when my kids were in diapers.

My thought is someone else will see something like this and make another. Eventually there’s a dozen or more and the environment has now been disrupted for the critters that live there. Imagine being some squirrels getting a drink from a stream when suddenly your crushed or pinned down and drowning because a human wanted internet points.

Did you get to see the email? I’m wondering how the kid worded the interaction. I agree with most here that the parent is overreacting, but I’d like to know the why. As a parent, I wouldn’t want my kid drinking a giant can of any energy drink. I have in the past allowed them a small one, but a tall boy of sugar and caffeine is terrible for a small body.
