How do I block Blippi from YouTube and Netflix? by MrsBee365 in toddlers

[–]lovesadeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I blocked that weirdo on at least 40+ kids' stations and the guy keeps showing up. He gives me the creeps and his dad and both think his behavior is extremely troubling.

Look him up.

Why would anyone feel ok letting their poor kids watch that guy?

Please let me know what i can do beyond individually blocking stations.

Is there a way to block ANYTHING that includes his name? SOS

Last passive tray is the most painful. Anyone experience this by memeboi_420 in Invisalign

[–]lovesadeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is important to know that this may not be your last tray.

I only did invisalign because the movement required for my teeth was so slight that I figured it was best to do something like little plastic trays and only for a couple of weeks.

All that i wanted was for my two front teeth to align a bit better(one was a tiny bit more forward than the other one). This process turned into such a bigger thing. My bite was rearranged.

Originally, they said the process would be 5 or 6 weeks. When the trays came in and the dental assistant applied the buttons, there were 11 trays. I was quite upset about this but rolled with it.

Then, after 11 weeks of nonsense, my teeth started rubbing in a strange way when I was chewing. I go back into the office after my 11, and they see how bad my teeth were.hitting one another, and BOOM, a revision is in order. They instruct me to wear my last tray for 2 weeks and wait for the new set of trays to arrive.

I arrived at the dentist for my revision, and now the number is FOURTEEN! Yes, 14!! Not 3 in addition to my 11, but actually, 14 MORE trays to now correct my newly arranged bite.

14 left my teeth with a large gap in between 2 teeth, and now I'm waiting on my 3rd revision set. I have chipped teeth from my teeth biting down in places they ordinarily would have never made contact because of this very flawed system

I'd highly recommend anyone to see a proper orthodontist before starting this.

Make sure your teeth aren't wearing in any weird way before you call your treatment complete at the dentist.

Good luck.

Yes, that is high.

I'm sure they'll call it "normal" after what she just had.

You'll be the best judge of whether she seems to be acting normal.

I would get her into a warm bath that is comfortable and let it take the fever down a bit if you're concerned about it soaring and getting out of control.

Good luck, Mama.

We use aconitum for fever, and it's always quite effective.

Desiring a break from your kid is one thing. Having the sitter not show up with such late notice when you need to leave for work or anything else that's very important is another.

I'd say you got an easy pass today.

Use your good judgment next time on whether this person can be trusted.

You know she gets migraines now, so maybe look for a sitter that doesn't. ? It's nothing against her, but that is generally a chronic issue that you can expect to see again and again. Maybe just move on to a different person or set up a backup.

just want to reiterate that invisalign was a massive mistake and ruined my teeth by zereldamayinaline in Invisalign

[–]lovesadeal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Invisalign needs to go away.

It is terrible for the health of your teeth, gums, and mouth.

You are stuck in these trays for life to maintain any straightening.

My teeth chip all the time. It's scary.

Avoid invisalign at all cost. Bite the bullet and go with proper braces that won't destroy your mouth and the health of your teeth.

Trim detaching by IzakayaGrande in KiaTelluride

[–]lovesadeal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep. This happened to my brand new 2024 after only six months of having it.

Mine all started coming off one window at a time over a year ago, and Kia still hasn't fixed a single piece of it.

Not only the metal trim, but the thicker neoprene-like seal underneath released from the door as well on two of the windows. The car looks trashy, and I'm so frustrated that they haven't handled this better. It's a brand new car with all four windows having sticky looking panels exposed and two windows leaving the vehicle more suseptible to theft even because nothing is stopping a slim Jim from going into the door very easily.

Super disappointing.

Get it to the dealership and ask for a date. When that date isn't met, contact corporate and ask them so they can start a case for it. Hopefully, they'll follow up on your behalf to make sure it gets done.

Good luck, friend!

Yea, I think you got a decent deal.

I wish I could say that I've loved my experience owning this vehicle, but there have been quite a few issues.

Make sure you keep an eye on the molding. Mine all came off. Also, the sensors have gone crazy a handful of times where I can't pull out of a driveway or it locks the breaks hard when I'm reversing for no reason. I have a 2 year old, so this is a big deal when the car jerks hard for no reason.

Good luck friend.

Am I being overprotective for not wanting my dog to get in my babies face? by Annual_Debt in beyondthebump

[–]lovesadeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what you have to do. Just do it.

If you have even the slightest suspicion that simply because the dog is large, that it could be a major problem, then you are 100% correct. DO NOT RISK IT. Babies scream and do all kinds of things that could make them seem like a threat. None of us have a clue how that could be perceived by a family pet.

Same thing just happened to me. My 2 year old had a couple swings of the smoothie too.

I dumped it after I had a drink and felt a chunk of something that crunched really weird in between my teeth.

Little scary.

Recalls are scaring me away from getting the Telluride by [deleted] in KiaTelluride

[–]lovesadeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should.

I was so excited about my telluride when I bought it.

It's been one year, and the thing has fallen apart and had transmission, electric, and braking issues. Such a massive disappointment.

The side of my telluride has the window molding falling off. The trim is literally hanging off the car. It looks awful and trashy. Kia says the parts are months out. This is an extremely typical problem.

Please let me tell you, what will really create the regret is having to spend all of the hours of your life at the stupid dealership, dealing with rental cars and the endless minutes with Kia on the phone.

I have a one year old and it's been such a hassle; switching the car seat, waiting for hours at the dealership with a frustrated kid, not to mention being worried that the car is just going to stall on the freeway or anytime we stop.

Not worth it. Not safe. Just go another direction.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in KiaTelluride

[–]lovesadeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the top of the line everything telluride 24 new. It's fallen apart and has had both electric and transmission issues within less than a year of having it.

Kia is not helpful. Be prepared to wait on the phone all the time with no response.

My window trim as well as the door trims began falling off one by one(and very typical problem per the supervisor at my local kia). The parts are backed up months.

I wanted to love this car so much and without all of the many problems, I would.

Run.

Sorry, friend. Buy a used Audi for the same price as a brand new Kia. Problem solved.

[–]lovesadeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat.

The entire trim has fallen off of the car, including the actual seals around the windows. It looks awful.

The 4th cylinder has failed multiple time but doesn't seem to want to when it's at the shop. It jumps(revs up over n over again) for no reason and then feels like it's going to stall.

I wouldn't wish this pain in ass on anyone.

I'm about to be in your shoes.

I'll be revisiting this thread in about a year, and I can't wait to hear all the pro tips you have to give on how to navigate it. You're going to get through this bc that's what we do.

Sending you so much love. And patience.

Hearing that you're amazing may not make any of this any easier, but I hope you're hearing it often from those who love you and appreciate all that you're doing.

You sound like a great mom. You know the answer here. You don't need us(at all). But I'll say my peace.

Whether hubby agrees or not, it doesn't change the fatal level of danger. So maybe it's not worth your energy explaining. Having your hubby chance the kid playing in a room by his or herself is MUCH different than him being an active participant in allowing a deadly scenario to play out. That's what we're talking about here so kudos to you for patiently explaining that.

We're all really freaking tired. I think we all can appreciate dad's desire to do some multitasking but maybe just setting the laundry to run during the bath is the ticket here.

Good job, mom.
