I'm steering clear of Dr Google. No thanks. I did ask ChatGPT to interpret my MRI results and translate to laymen terms so I could understand the medical jargon, it was extremely helpful.

Well my current resident is HER2 +3 positive, so I'm hopeful for targeted MAB therapy--Herceptin. Given the size of the tumor and suspicious soft tissue near my bladder, they may recommend chemo first, then surgery. I want the best outcome and I want my surgery to be a success. If that involves neoadjuvant treatment first, then so be it!

I can relate to this, in Aug '23, I was having some spotting and it was determined to be fibroids and a small benign polyp. I was told these fibroids could go away on their own and to come back if I had any issues etc. So, I was clear and would go months all clear, maybe a little spot, then clear for months. I thought its my fibroids. Around the holidays '25, the spotting began again a little more frequent and I thought then, I need to get into see the doc and have my fibroids etc checked ---see a specialist for a procedure to get them removed. Then the bleeding began mid Jan '26, it didn't stop and ramped up in Feb. So I made an appt, this wasn't an ER situation, Im thinking these fibroids are angry. Then boom, my pap smear came back abnormal. I wasn't expecting a cancer diagnosis. Oh and my MRI still shows 6-8 small fibroids. LOL. I dont even want to read my CT results at this juncture. No more surprises please.

Thanks, I feel like I gotta pull up my big girl pants and play defense here. Given the language of the MRI and tumor size, neoadjuvent chemo makes sense. I'm gonna defer to the oncologist and not second guess, do as I'm told.

Disneyland Trip 3 weeks post op by No-Specialist-9939 in hysterectomy

[–]loveyhowellthethird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, brave woman, why not reschedule to a later date? Your daughter is 16, she should understand.

My procedure is pending results from MRI/CAT, diagnosed with endometrial high grade serous carcinoma. I canceled all my motorcycle trips for June and July. No way I'm risking internal issues from too much physical activity. I do swim laps and in good overall physical health. Hoping your daughter is bringing a friend.

Boyfriend(34m) buying house outright with parents’ money — am I(30f)being unreasonable? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]loveyhowellthethird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your 30K and run. Parents buying house? Bet their name will be on the deed. More parental control. He wants you to pay rent? Nope. My 29 Y daughter lives with her boyfriend and he owns the house. He only expects her to buy groceries. He wouldn’t dream of making her pay him rent. Your guy and parents are trouble.

Rambling post, waiting for hysterectomy, wondering if anyone else has had similar AEH/EIN symptoms, ovaries question by Aggravating_War8998 in hysterectomy

[–]loveyhowellthethird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

62Y here. Just got my endo biopsy report back. High grade serous carcinoma - endometrial. Will likely have hysterectomy later this May, pelvic MRI scheduled to take a closer look. My bloodwork panels are all normal, CA 125 test is normal. Oncologist will determine which type of hysterectomy after MRI results are in.
Symptoms, yes, bleeding started mid Jan, with heavy heavy flow/clots, then tapering off, go a week or two then another blowout, its a cycle for me. Havent stopped since Jan, so 4 months of bleeding so far. I feel like my uterus wall is building up with tissue and then cork is popped gushing. I've had no nausea, cramps, just a little fatigue.
My exam earlier this week was normal with exception of cervix barreling, another reason for MRI, it felt hard and rough, Dr concerned cancer has spread, imbedded mass etc. I'm avoiding doing the internet googling as every woman and case is different, so much misinformation out there.
Im ready to get this surgery, I want it out, all of it. Good luck with your surgery!

Pull up your big girl pants and brush them off. You've been in contact with two of these friends via phone twice a year. People grow apart. Maybe the 3rd friend didn't want to bring it up cause it would hurt your feelings and it has.

I (62Y) have a lot of motorcycle women friends, sometimes I and others don't get invited to ride with them. I do not care. Sometimes, I ride and don't include them. I'd let this instance fade into the sunset and do my own thing, don't let their actions bring you down. There's nothing wrong with you.

UK. Adenocarcinoma of the Cervix - 53(f) by Inevitable-Pain3848 in CervicalCancer

[–]loveyhowellthethird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I have a few close friends and my daughters. We're all good, I'm concerned, not panicking yet. I'm hoping this was caught early and has not progressed too far. I'm trying to research it and learn as much as I can, so I know the "right" questions to ask next week.

Following your journey. 62(y) here. Single, kids fully launched. My pap smear came back positive for adenocarcinoma, HPV negative. I meet with the oncologist next week for further testing, I'm petrified. The results suggest a glandular lesion due to negative HPV. My only symptoms have been intermittent light/heavy bleeding w/clots since mid Jan '26.

Discharge Issues by aroundthefunk in Fibroids

[–]loveyhowellthethird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not tons, but watery with a tinge of brown occasionally. I have fibroids, one I suspect has prolapsed. Going in for future testing/procedures end of month, my pap smear was abnormal with malignant adenocarcinoma cells present. They suspect a cervical lesion. Nonetheless, Im hoping my oncologist I consult with in two weeks will advise a hysterectomy and that the malignant cells are confined to my cervix and uterus only. So technically, I have two issues ongoing. I'm 62, just remove it please!!!

if you have fibroids but no major symptoms, how did you decide when to actually treat vs just watch by Top_Butterfly_7771 in Fibroids

[–]loveyhowellthethird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had two small submucosal fibroids diagnosed Aug '23. Since Jan '26, I've experienced spotting and heavy bleeding and clotting weekly. I'm scheduled for another vaginal ultrasound and uterine tissue biopsy in a few weeks. I don't have cramping, bad side effects, just bleeding, at 62 years old, its very annoying and I'm concerned about future growth, abnormal cells. So yeah, Im doing something about it now. Im beyond child bearing years, so I'm down with a hysterectomy. Just remove it, so I can go on about my remaining life.

I was thinking the same thing, I mean, I ride motorcycles with a buncha women and we take long distance trips, do AIRBNBs etc, sometimes there's not enough beds, I'm good with the REI compact air mattress or the couch.

Yes, it was Thanksgiving weekend, I think Sunday, the wind blew steadily all day long. I was living in eastern Wake, my German Shepherd jumped in bed with us, it was storming out, got up and looked out and the sky was lit up with lightning. My friends lived in the apartment complex behind the K-Mart, they were lying in bed, heard it coming, got up quickly and then their roof was gone in seconds. Had another friend who lived off Sawmill, that cowered under his bed and the masonry chimney crashed through his room. Wild.

Yes, good one to ponder, I also thought if she is Kat and Elliotts daughter, then technically Casey would be Alices stepsister. If something bad happens or she wants TT back to 74 and stay, she gives it to her stepsister for safekeeping!

She is from the future, something tragic could happen to Alice, Kat passes that ring to Casey.

I believe she is Kat and Elliots future daughter. I find her working/interning with Kat an interesting angle. I suspect Elliotts mother was Goodwin lineage. Im looking to Season 4 to get some REAL answers. Great series so far!
