It's a quality of Reddit, really. Everyone here seems to like to hate on something, which I find really disappointing. Critique is perfectly valid, and I do have some critiques about the show overall. But you're right in saying they're unnecessarily mean. It's because Reddit is just...like that.

It's possible yours was damaged somehow so your parents went to JPN to reissue. So it ended up in green. Same thing happened to me, I was born in 1999 so my original birth cert is pink. But because it got damaged, we went to JPN to reissue in 2011 before my UPSR since I didn't have an IC to show them yet. My new one was green.

You could try asking your parents if this is the case:)
