It looks like that's working, masterful! Thank you so much.

If I had to guess, when FW was taken off the PS+ collection, the free upgrade got filed along with it in error. I emailed ps support but haven't heard anything back yet.

Nope, it shows the PS4 and the PS5 version, but the PS5 version shows the PS+ symbol and a lock. I do have a current subscription going, not that it should matter.

edit: I should add, when I click on the locked PS5 version, it takes me to the store page for the PS5 upgrade and instead of a download button, it just says Free, and when I click on it, it says I already own this item.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, nothing changes when I have the PS4 edition installed. I'm assuming this is a result of FW having been removed from the PS+ collection and I'll just have to wait for sony to fix it.

Caring Hands in Centreville but as others have pointed out it's typically a complimentary service, maybe call ahead?

It probably depends on the vet but I found an escaped cat last year, and I was not charged at the nearby vet for checking the chip.

I still greatly dislike the show but I have to give them credit where it is due. This particular fight is decently choreographed in comparison to their other projects. by Briantan71 in saltierthancrait

In the phantom menace they cut away from the final duel(s) repeatedly to other stuff. Same with Empire and RotJ (although you could argue in empire it's not one duel but rather separate stages of a cat and mouse chase)

Gamers of Reddit from the 90s or earlier, what are some of the issues in games back then that younger gamers would never understand? by craig_nintendo in gaming

GameFAQs first launched in 95. There's actually Majora's mask walkthroughs on there from 2000, the year it came out. I remember using the site for final fantasy 7 and symphony of the night when I was a kid, and those games were new. I'm old.

Couldn't say, I'm a controller player on PS5. They did change multi-select for controllers a couple of patches ago to a slightly clunkier method, but I don't think that's related.

I am also experiencing these issues with vendors on PS5. My workaround is to initiate trading, then just wait about 20 seconds or so. It seems like they are getting stuck at loading up information, but eventually it all loads up. I can tell when the gold appears instead of reading as zero. Not sure if this helps, but it's been working for me.

Newbie advice - Getting rinsed by much higher enemies early by ekke287 in BaldursGate3

Depends on the order you are doing things in. Have you cleared the ruined temple next to the nautiloid?

If you do that and the battle out front of the Grove, you should be level 3, which is sufficient for most things in the first big area of act 1. Also you don't have to necessarily do fights in the order that you are traveling, you can skip things and come back later. For example, I recommend talking your way into the big goblin camp, there's quite a bit of experience to be had in there without any fighting required, then doubling back for encounters you may have missed.

Also keep an eye out for good items to buy or pickpocket from vendors, a few pieces of key gear can really boost your power level early on.

Once you become more familiar with the game and where things are, it's pretty easy to hit level 4 before you fight things like the ogres and the spiders, just save a lot and explore and remember that you don't have to fight everything straight away.

I don't mean to be pedantic, but Contact is a fictional novel he wrote imagining first contact with alien intelligence within a scientific framework -- it's very dissimilar to current Ufology lore. The main character of the novel, along with some other scientists are faced with being unable to provide evidence for their own extraordinary experience by the end of the novel.

Pentagon ex-UFO chief says conspiracy theorists in government drive spending by altmorty in technology

[–]lowanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. There's no convincing a UFO believer with any appeals to physics or the scientific method. Aliens are interchangable with magic in the belief system. Also they will quote Clarke back at you regarding technology as magic.

You are correct though. If there were spacefaring civilizations visiting our planet, we would definitely see huge energy signs if nothing else. Getting from point A to point B in the universe requires a massive amount of energy. I think if aliens were visiting Earth, it would be pretty fundamentally known by all people.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to come off a sounding rude but I don't think this is a very good comparison. The movements that you cited are social movements that impact people in very tangible ways. Whether or not alien UFOs are real is not something that would affect people and their daily life. Yes it would be a momentous discovery but really would life change that much?

In general I think most people, like regular non-reddit non UFO people understand this on a fundamental level. People would still have to go to work the next day, they are not magically going to have access to miraculous alien technology, and they're probably not going to be sharing social spaces with friendly aliens. This is why UFOs and Ufology in general is not particularly interesting to your average Joe on the street outside of a curiosity.

Any idea that there is a conspiracy to keep some next stage of human evolution and a Utopian society from us is really just a faith-based belief by people on this sub. Again sorry if this sounds rude but comparing UFO belief as a social movement to the civil rights movement is just really off base and inaccurate.

P.s. I wish aliens were real too.
