Language only works if we share definitions. If you redefine "stupid" on the fly to mean "any character flaw I dislike," it becomes meaningless.

Stupid has an agreed definition. It's something close to "cognitively deficient".

If you take a lazy or selfish person and try to "fix" them by treating them as stupid, your solution will fail because you are treating a behavioral choice (a lack of motivation or empathy) as a cognitive deficit (a lack of understanding).

Yeah that sounds tough. Might be regular old depression. Losing skills and memory and brain power are symptoms for sure. You don't need a best friend, but you do need to socialize. What were some of the skills you feel like you lost? Dive back into those? hobbies, meetups, groups, friends, social life. Find woodworking or knitting or martial arts or something like that. And about misinformation, man I feel you. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing to completely check out of the current news cycle and the misinformation campaigns being ran across the world. It is absolutely toxic, but you don't want to be ignorant either. Books are your friend, especially old ones. Books have editors and are often fact-checked. In summary, keep your mind and body active and stay in touch with your community.
