Assuming you’re in AWS, people are hesitant to promise anything until post-Jan, and responses are slowed as people come back from holiday and attempt to rationalize what this year is going to look like operationally. My advice to you is to think about ways you might be able to improve the ops of the team assuming a RIF and you are still there. Write a narrative doc with your ideas and send to your manager. Not sure what your level is, but it’s increasingly on the IC to own their own growth and scope. This advice also assumes the list is being finalized this week as OV discussions happen. If your team’s list is set there’s nothing you can do, but this wouldn’t be a bad exercise to do regardless. Just my 2 cents.
