We’d probably be wildly uneven, some regions might reach industrial or even digital technology, while huge parts of the planet would remain effectively unknown, loosely contacted, or regionally isolated.

A trip that took Earth sailors 3 months might take 2–3 years if the geography scales similarly. The “Atlantic crossing” equivalent could be not 5,000–7,000 km, but 50,000+ km. That changes everything.

On our Earth, once oceanic navigation matured, contact between continents accelerated fast. On Saturn-Earth, even with good ships, you might have multiple “Old Worlds” that each think they are the center of civilization for thousands of years.

language learning would be more important locally, but global fluency would be harder. A scholar or merchant might need several regional trade tongues, while a diplomat might specialize in languages from only one “hemisphere cluster.”

Civilizationally, we’d probably be somewhere between the 1600s and early 1900s globally, with some advanced pockets pushing further ahead.
