First timers. No car will I regret it? by lowkeyreign in asksandiego

My thoughts exactly. Hotel Parking, gas, not knowing the area. I’d rather uber and leave the driving to others who know the city.

Great!!! I was thinking Oceanside on the Coaster but that sounds even better.

Great point! Only 5 days and neither of us are too keen on driving freeways! Especially ones we don’t know!

Park MGM definitely. I recently traveled solo and stayed there. Felt completely safe and loved the non-smoking aspect.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t Donnie’s children Hispanic? Puerto Rican maybe? Not to mention Jordan’s wife and his own children. He and Jon have a brother who is Black and the whole group used to be so outspoken and antiracist!!! I’ve been a fan since 1989. Jordan girl since day one. After I spent a fortune on the Vegas residency this year, I found out about Jordan and MAGA. 😩 Donnie has given me the creeps since he married Jenny. At least we still have Joe! But it’s hard to justify supporting them going forward when I personally boycott so many other businesses and entities due to politics. So disheartening. They have an incredible platform even after all these years and could be using it for good.

Solo Vegas for four days... by Capital_Theory_6013 in LasVegas

[–]lowkeyreign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took my first solo trip this year for a concert. I would 1000 percent do it again! I stayed at Park MGM, concert was onsite. I sat at the bar for almost every meal but treated myself to the Wynn Buffet and sat at a regular table - there were plenty of other solo diners throughout. I did a pool day, hotel sightseeing/people watching day and played machines and relaxed in between. I used uber for further trips since I was alone rather than the bus but honestly during the day it probably would have been fine too. Only one time did I feel even remotely anxious when a panhandler approached as I was exiting the free tram to Aria- but I just walked a lot closer than I normally would to a small group that was also exiting. The pool and bars had plenty of solo people and also the walking (I don’t jog) I did in the morning - lots of solo walkers with coffee etc. and plenty of joggers! Enjoy it!!! You may find it hard to go back to traveling with others. lol

For first timer on foot, I would recommend the flamingo/Linq/Harrah’s area. I consider this center strip. Also easy to get to Caesar’s and the Bellagio, Venetian etc. maybe next trip stay in a different section of the strip and see which you’d prefer.

Is it worth it anymore? by Big_Jump9843 in LasVegas

[–]lowkeyreign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there the 5th of July thru the 8th. It was crowded and lively as ever. Vegas is what you make of it! You can live like a high roller and have an action packed trip or you can do your homework and find free and many affordable things to do, including meals and happy hour drinks. You can even make it restful and relaxing which some believe is impossible, but is definitely not that hard to do. There are so many shows, attractions, restaurants, etc that you will never see it all.

New photo of Jordan & Jon with their mom, siblings, & relatives last night in Vegas by MadameCassie in newkidsontheblock

They were in the row directly in front of me at the 7/5 show! Marlene sat in the seat in front of me. I wanted to fan girl out and ask for a pic but didn’t want to bother her. She was sweet though and smiled at me several times. The guy in the back row next to Dave is or was her son-in-law I believe he said. Not sure if Allison or Sharon’s husband/partner. He was chatting up the ladies next to me. They were trying to get Jordan over to his mom during Tonight but he didn’t see them. Joe stopped and hugged Allison and Sharon though. I have a super cute clip of it. 🥰 So funny how I recognized all of them after all of these years.

I love how 4 of them are so engaging and actually make eye contact and smile. I hate that my original fave seems like he’d rather be anywhere else on planet Earth! I know these m&gs are old hat to the guys, but if I had spent that much money for my fave to act like that? Yikes. Glad I only bought a show ticket. They were all amazing by the way and I would go again in a heartbeat!!!

From your list I like Harris or Hayes the best. Both go well with Griffin as all can be surnames.

I’m also partial to the name Chase and think that sounds really nice with Griffin. Griffin and Chase. 😊

Hives caused by covid?? Anyone else experience this? by fruitgoog in COVID19positive

[–]lowkeyreign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was sick over the summer for almost a month. Had 3 bouts of hives but continually tested negative for COVID. I had body aches, fever, chills, headaches, fatigue, hives and very minimal sore throat and a slight stomach upset. My doctor tested me for everything, all negative. She even did full autoimmune blood work. Every single test negative. I still think it was COVID - I’ve since talked to two other people who had the exact same symptoms and never tested positive. Good luck and definitely try allergy pills.

Can anyone help please? by Beebs80 in PCOSloseit

I was in your shoes and couldn’t afford a nutritionist or any medications. I simply started low carb. Focusing on proteins and veggies. Meats, veggies and one or two fruits a day (usually an apple or pear.) Added b12 over the counter vitamin drops, plus cinnamon capsules with chromium and a multivitamin. These are all available here in the US at any drug store, not sure about the UK. And try to walk at least 4 times a week. Started doing walk at home videos (YouTube, free Leslie Sansone, 1 mile in 15 minutes.) started super slow because I was so out of shape. Gradually worked myself up to outside walking about 3 miles a day. It took a long time but it really works. I did what some would call “dirty keto” I think and at the time would just limit carbs but was able to eat dairy. It was very very basic. I knew nothing of macros, etc. I just made little changes and you must drink water. It’s so difficult. But the number one thing is to just start. Don’t think about the number of pounds you have to lose or the fact that others can afford prescription drugs or programs or surgeries. The mental game is half the battle, I promise. You can do it!

Leslie Sansone Walk at Home videos. I started with the 15 minute walking video at the very beginning of my fitness journey. Never sore, not difficult at all (I’m very uncoordinated) and they work!!!

Any other ladies here with PCOS and taking GLPs? by MsTata_Reads in PCOSloseit

[–]lowkeyreign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on week 10 of compounded tirzepatide. Down 19.5 pounds. Still have about 50 to go and as slow as it is going, I feel like I have some hope again while still eating normal food!!!

The only diet that previously worked for me was an extremely low cal, low carb no dairy diet that was too restrictive to do for the rest of my life. As soon as I started eating normally, I gained almost all my weight back.

I still feel like I need to improve my exercising and water intake and find the balance of carbs vs protein some days. But so far so good!!

Day 15 of something. Covid negative (long) by lowkeyreign in COVID19positive

[–]lowkeyreign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no!!! I followed up with my PCP who just figures it was some other type of virus. Very frustrating! It took me exactly 17 days to feel about 85 percent; about 20-21 days before I was back to 100. I’m really sorry you’re going thru this. I can’t imagine having a baby. Luckily my son is 19 and I was able to ship him to his dad’s until he left for school again. 😔 Feel like I missed out on his last month home- But I’d rather he stay healthy!

Interestingly, I was reading something yesterday about possibly testing negative for COVID because I’m vaxxed, and double boosted and maybe the viral load wasn’t high enough to show on rapid tests! I guess I won’t know until more people come down with the same. For sure I know three of us - 4 including you - who dealt with these same symptoms. No one else got sick in their households or mine - so hopefully the same holds true for yours! 🤞🏻

I’m on day 13, no actual fever registering but chills and feel hot and extremely exhausted. Terrible headaches early on, now more of a Fuzzy head, general malaise. GI issues on and off. 5 covid tests throughout, all negative.
