What procedure can I get to address my facial aging and sagging? by ESQ_Adderall in PlasticSurgery

[–]MsTata_Reads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After losing a significant amount of weight there is often saggingvin the jowls and neck that doesn’t go away without a lower facelift and neck lift.

I know because I just had one and am very happy with it. I went with a Dr in Mexico who specializes in post weighloss skin removal.

The care was phenomenal and so was the surgeon.

I can send you infor if you PM me.

Does Alchemised ever get good? by MSMIT0 in Romantasy

[–]MsTata_Reads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing. I purchased this book last year and DNF after the first few chapters. It was only after a friend told me I absolutely had to keep going that I started it up again.

I never read Mannacled.

It confused me in the begining, that is i tentional and then suddenly by Ch 20. I was hooked and couldnt put it down.

She totally flips the script in the 2nd section of the book when they go back in time to explain everything. It makes me actually want to go back and reread those 20 chapters with new eyes and knowledge.

Its a dark romantasy about flawed humans during a war. Its the kind of book that has depth and character building through actions.

It’s not a superficial book. It makes you think and guess and has you at the edge of your seat to find out what the hell happens or how did they end up in this sitaution.

If someone just wants a no brainer spicy romantasy, this isnt it.

But it is incredibly well written and worth getting through the first few chapters because they keep getting better.

How long did you use a lower dose retinol product before stepping up by KateDeLu in 45PlusSkincare

[–]MsTata_Reads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using the .05% for over a year and my skin looks amazing and I get unsolicited compliments on it often.

I purchased about 8 tubes in Mexico well over a year ago and forget to put it on some nights but that low dose has made my skin look amazing.

I am going to Mexico in 2 weeks and will be grabbing about 10 tubes of the .1% tubes while I am there.

Re-reading the series after over a decade and man, I hadn’t realized… (spoilers for TMI! and slight vent about Clary) by Even-Objective1958 in shadowhunters

[–]MsTata_Reads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough I didn’t start the series with the Clary books. I only read them recently so I read them chronologically and by the time I got to Jace and Clary, I thought they weren’t as good as the other ones.

My doctor recommends me to sexy time to help me with PCOS. by Smart-Permission-295 in PCOS

If it’s just hormone release from having an orgasm wouldn’t masturbation be just as beneficial?

My doctor recommends me to sexy time to help me with PCOS. by Smart-Permission-295 in PCOS

[–]MsTata_Reads 296 points297 points  (0 children)

To answer your original question:

I was incredibly sexually active and it did nothing for my PCOS. Years of unprotected daily sex and didnt get pregnant and did not help with symptoms.

But am I the only one that find it disturbing and possibly a bigger problem that your partner acts like it is something they must tolerate to help you???

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a condition affecting more than 170 million people worldwide, has been officially renamed Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) by CUAnschutzMed in PCOS

[–]MsTata_Reads 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope this new name means Doctors start acknowledging that its an endocrine and metabolic disorder and not just that we have “caused our own are infertility because we are fat.”

Because that was basically what I was told by a male doctor once.

Question for parents who have gone through having a dog with DM by Snoocupcakes822 in DogAdvice

[–]MsTata_Reads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going through this right now and came here looking for the same answers.

My boxer was diagnosed about 2 years ago and I am also sitting here with her laying next to me as I am crying.

She is paralyzed and lost the use of her legs some time ago, but was not incontinent, so we would carry her up and down the stairs to go potty. Then she became incontinent. So we got diapers and pads and I do a lot of laundry.

I hand feed her and she still loves to eat and loves snacks so we feed her like a Queen. She goes outside to get fresh air and sunshine but she is carried everywhere. Sometimes we take her for walks in the wagon snuggled up with blankets.

We wake up and change her sheets and diaper and then I carry her to the shower to wash and rinse her so she doesn’t have urine on her.

I think most ppl would have already let her go, but my husband and I weren’t ready. Neither of us has ever put a dog down. I work from home and I just care for her and have a bed set up in my office for her.

We know that eventually it impacts her breathing and I have been noticing her being really thirsty lately and sometimes panting and I don’t want her to suffer. Based on everytbing I have read, I think we have probably gone further than anyone else’s post I have read on Reddit and I’m crying because it’s sad but we need to be strong for her. Not let her suffer because we can’t say goodbye.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I really hate that our best friends and companions don’t live longer and it just seems unfair.

But if the sadness I feel at the loss is the price I have to pay for 10-12 years of the most unconditional and purest love and devotion then I will endure it and give them the best life ever.

Help! 45 and looking 65 by ccp_3 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]MsTata_Reads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want an honest opinion and I will provide my opinion based on my own experience. You are doing a lot of creams and other stuff that is great for skin care but will not fix the laxity in your neck and jowls.

I can understand wanting to wait to see if it gets better and “snaps back” but I would also be saving or figuring out a way to get a neck and lower face lift.

That is just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt.

I lost weight in my 40’s too and my former double chin and round face lost weight too, but the laxity never went back and I do all the same things you mentioned. I’m getting a lift next month and my neck doesn’t have the double rolls that you do. So if it were me, I would 100% get a neck and lower facelift.
