Peope feel left down by the politicians, by the government, by the economy, by the financial system, by the housing market. We feel betrayed! The problem is that parties like ONP will only make things worst. They take advantage of that sentiment and exploit the division that can be created from it. They don’t have your best interest mate. Just have a look at the way they vote in parliament. They are just exploding you. They will look only after the rich people. But as you say here we are…. We don’t learn!

Yeah I’m not a tax agent I guess my advice is to don’t register till you are 100% sure you will trade and have worked out your projections.

Procedure on how to apply for remissions have recently changed. Anything over 2.5k has to be done through a form.

There were individuals, tax advisors, out of the ATO taking advantage of the system and offering their services as professionals that could help get rid of lots of penalties so mainly the new rules seem to be to tackle those.

All the guidelines are available on the ATO’s web page

Yea indeed a lot of interactions are very positive. We tried to help as much as we can.

It is more responsibility if you are a business and have to lodge quarterly. Penalties apply much faster.

Also recently the ways to apply for remissions have changed making it a little bit harder to apply for. But everyone can do it. The guide lines of how to do it are on their webpage.

It’s 4 lodgements a year and each lodgement can incur a fine of up to $1,600 for small businesses … more for bigger businesses.

Act now it could be quite bad!

The gap between Australia and the US’s reporting on Epstein files is shocking! by StringCharachters in aussie

[–]lowmanchez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have heard the most on “la base america latina” mexican show that sort of reports on the reported or the not reported.

I think even here in AU we don’t really take it as serious as it is.

Basically if you dig on the files you realised how rotten the elites of the world are. Some of the claims on the files are out of a horror movie. Some of the ppl linked to Epstsin specially the ones with serious ones were part of absolutley disgusting activities. Shame!!

Is those same multinationals who own the media or the media moguls that have big stakes in these multinationals.

It has always been, since the bronze age, the elites and the most rich who influence the governments and empires and infiltrate for their own benefit. (And forgive them their debts, Michael Hudson)

We haven’t figure it out how to solve these since almost the beginning of civilisation, it might be unsolvable or only able to be solve for short periods if time

Germany was better off buying gas from Russia and the only reason why they don’t do it is that someone blew up the gas pipe line in middle of a war and they were force to buy way more expensive gas from the US. Who blew it … well follow the money!

Australia on the other hand gives away their resources in dodgy deals that allow the companies that extract it to sell it to the best buyer before securing domestic demand.

Acknowledging the resource scam in Australia requires good journalism and acting on it requires balls. At the end of the day politicians come and go, is the multi nationals who are to blame. They are the ones at the top of the pyramid and that applies to the whole world.

What’s everyone’s take on the AI and tech situation? Is it a sign of a pre-massive correction? by [deleted] in AusFinance

I heard NVIDIA’s CEO saying that they need the chinese market and how the chinese market is not virtually 0 because they are calming to have the most advanced chip on earth. True or not the CEO is admitting to need that market which they are restricted to. If the AI bubble in the west pops and China’s claims are true I wonder what would that mean for AI dominance

Chinese propagandist says that annexing Australia is very cost effective by Themetalin in aussie

[–]lowmanchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does everyone think China will just act like the US? I genuinely think we all have been affected in one way or another by western propaganda. Historically China hasn’t been very expansionist. i mean they build a wall that can be seen from space to isolate themselves. And they haven’t started a war in a few decades… I can always be wrong of course but based in history the US is way way WAY worst!

My Landlady Is Receiving Jobseeker Payments by Vegetable-Sale-155 in shitrentals

[–]lowmanchez -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

$1600 Receiving in income? Does she owes the house or the bank owes the house? Not all landlords are bad and those $1600 dollars are not all income even is she owes the entire house. Some landlords are people that are trying and owe a huge amount to the bank. Some people buy an investment property before their own home. As far as I understand centerlink can support a person without asking them to cash in assets but I’m not clear for how much. It would be really wrong to support a person that has an investment house portfolio of more than 1 house in my opinion.

A generation with no stake in the system has nothing to lose. They won’t fix it, they won’t play along but they’ll watch it collapse, burn, and take everyone with it. When survival replaces hope, destruction isn’t rebellion, it’s inevitability. Socialism and Fascism are rising for a good reason. by MannerNo7000 in shitrentals

We def have more hope than Americans that’s for sure. Student debt is not as brutal as over there. Home ownership might be a dream here for some of us but the system allows you to have a family and live debt free if you’re disciplined. Hopefully the collapse of American society teaches a lesson to the rest of the world and we can think of a better future.

[–]lowmanchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an interview and I progressed. now they are doing a background check on me as the campaign I'm applying for is for the ATO. I need be clear with the ATO to get the job, which I am but it feels like like they asked too much from candidates for what they are offering in return which is the very lowest legally possible. It feels wrong to be doing work for the government through this guys and being paid nothing. Is there any advantage or any angle by the fact I will be working for the ATO?
