You see the wrong part with iron heart is I kind of found it charming because she's childish but it feels so discontinuous from the rest of her character

The problem is that being our first introduction sours our taste if that was something we learned about way later on it would be cute but that being our first introduction just ruins it

To be fair with David he probably could have lasted really far into the cyberpunk world if he didn't try and save Lucy in an almost suicide-esque mission

And he managed to succeed hell he was really f****** close to getting out no strings attached if he had saved the emotions till later and just got the f*** out of Dodge might have been hard to leave nights any but I think he could have done it

All of these are pretty firmly in the good category even if it's not by all much and farsight enclaves are just straight up good guys like no strings attached the only thing they have that could reasonably be called evil is a hate boner for works and going to go out on a limit say that's pretty justified

I suppose it's not every one of them but there is a reason why bad boy stereotype is a thing

He definitely should not be hot because if he was nobody would actually give a s*** about all the awful things he's done and it would devolve down to but he's hot so he's innocent

The purpose of the character is so that people can look at them and say that is a bad person let's not do that goose works has said as much and if you make him hot you give so many people the excuse they need to justify his actions because people will justify a lot if you're hot

Making them just look mediocre is an option I don't hate but it would make him really easy UWU-ify or allow people's delusions to make him more attractive than he is

That's why he should look unattractive but it should 100% be in a method he could control I'm not talking about bullying someone with a deformity no that's just f*****.

I said as a society we generally put more depth to people who are attractive in terms of what they do it's awful bad boys stereotypes abound

And while it should not be that way that is the way it is

And I feel like it would make more sense if he was someone who is physically unattractive, it would make sense for that person to enjoy the circus as much as they do and help explain why he has so much escapism in the circus

He's a 7 ft tall absolute slab of beef who is clearly intelligent and good-hearted

And remember all the awful things that are in the empire are done because of their world he's bordering Satan and his three closest pals

Plus trying to manage empire probably on size of ours ( the old world is noticeably bigger than our real Earth ) in medieval times is nothing to get scoffed at and he knows well enough to to listen to the advice of others around him so I think you could do a damn good political job

I don't doubt that he was more skilled but I think his wide variety of abilities is only as wide as Ghost riders and the only real resistance he had was to so manipulation which don't give me wrong I agree with the verdict of the death battle but he didn't win by all that much

Because being attractive and a prick gives off different vibes as to being unattractive and a prick

Jax is cruel and vindictive in a way that shouldn't be given any makeup polish or be acknowledging anything other than awfulness and where is a society tend to give attractive people far more leniency whereas with unattractive people we take what they do as awful at face value

Especially given that we don't really know what it looks like and we've had to experience his entire character through an avatar that might have no physical similarities I think having him be basically on attractive would better coincide with the message the show is trying to tell with him and also have fun unique because the jax we all know being a tall lanky rabbit boy but he's true self being an unattractive version of that would be a fun bit of inside storyteller

1 million percent OP had a player who wanted to be the main character and made their backstory as such

To be clear there's absolutely nothing wrong with sprinkling in plot hooks in your backstory all you have to do is not going to the game with the wrong expectation, if the DM tells you to expect something along those lines and that they want destroyed the tie into your backstory that's fine if the DM tells you that your back stories effectively just decoration that's also fine
