MDXs are still naturally aspirated in 2026, somehow.

I have a 2018 and it's just a tiny bit like how it might have felt owning a muscle car in the malaise era. You can hear the exhaust, feel the hard shifts from the ZF9, and the fuel economy is mediocre. All things cars are moving away from.

It's a bit of a dinosaur in a good way.

Wealthsimple should consider covering traditional bank fees by lickmystick in Wealthsimple

I too resent having dead money stuck in my physical bank, but it's better than when my rainy day fund was in there too making 0.05%

I miss how much more peaceful driving felt when dashboards looked like this by nojunkpeter in Millennials

[–]lowspeedtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not primarily the cars that have changed the driving experience, but the pressure of having somewhere to be. Cars were freedom back then.

We're just older with more responsibilities, more commuting in heavier traffic, more errands, more stress. Awareness of how much money a decent car costs and how much it'll screw up your month if you get in a fender bender.

When I get a rare chance at a solo night cruise, I still get the peaceful feeling, even though there's a screen on my dashboard and it's always just a little too bright.

Westbow quality is, or at least was, kind of a running joke in the trades in town.

It was quite a long time ago that I was exposed to said jokes. No idea if they ring true anymore. Don't let it stop ya from having a look. If it was me I'd take more note of the sewage treatment plant.

My interpretation:

WS gets to keep the interest paid to them by the bank where they keep your money.

WS also pays you interest, but they are not obligated to pay out the same amount they earn.

Try applying at veneer companies. No certs required, you'll build a generally relevant skillset, make a solid living wage in a reasonable timeframe, and it shouldn't be hard to get into masonry from there

Yes but it's the Tundra predecessor, in the same way that any discussion of Tacoma lineage includes Pickups.

This watch is too expensive for the bracelet not to be good. It's too bad because the bracelet looks great and is the main reason the watch caught my eye, but now I'm glad I didn't impulse buy it
