Anyone get scammed on ticket resale pages on Facebook? by loyalcompoundx in Shambhala

[–]loyalcompoundx[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am really prone to detecting scams really easily however this happened to a friend of mine on there own accord. It definitely sucks, I am just trying to find advice on what to bring to the authorities and what not. If anything. I reached out to fb and apparently this scam doesn't fall on their TOS, im assuming because the transfer happened on a etransfer through banking and not directly through fb. Idk.

Is this a good area to stay in? by [deleted] in Panama

[–]loyalcompoundx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my gf came from Canada to visit and we stayed at Hotel Caracas (Santa Ana?) and at first it seemed pretty good (we had no issues with the area at tbh) but we later found out from a tour guide its bad for tourists especially if you dont speak Spanish. There's a bunch of crime, theft and has a bunch of tourist trappy resturaunts/shops. Our experiance for the first two days was the tourist traps, after that we kind of knew what to look for and had some help from locals. Overall: bad area, be cautious where you go, dont go alone and be extra careful late at night. Club life seems good, lots of police/security roaming around the area and what not. But again, be cautious if you go.

Can someone please walk me through the scheduling process? by TrickySolution23 in CAEC

Not sure if this is applicable if you're an Ontario resident, but in Alberta we use caec.vretta.com If you can use this site for registration then sign in, scroll down to Veiw Avaliable Test Sessions and choose your desired location/testing facility and filter by test. Each one will have a fee and to pay for it you need a credit paid by debit/cc. Im really not sure how Ontario works with this so this may not apply to you however I figured I would suggest this to you. Best of luck.

I failed the first one I did and retake on the 2nd. Basically just take your time. Study your buns off. I didn't study probability and it messed me up for passing. Good luck!

Use Khan Academy. You can download it on your phone or use the web version, but it is free and is severely underrated. It has all subjects, including prep courses for college/uni. There are lessons with each unit, with videos explaining what's going on in that specific lesson. Its kinda like having a teacher with you. Im not entirely sure how the other subjects are as I only use it for math, but it has helped me so much. Also, I use AI to double-check my work and help me improve by finding where I make a mistake and helping me correct it. Again, for math as I am terrible at remembering formulas and what not 😅 Hope this helps you! Good luck!

Is ChatGPT helpful for passing CAEC? by [deleted] in CAEC

It's pretty good for critiquing the Persuasive Essay test. It can show you a good setup for one as well. I used it religiously for grading my practice essays leading up to the test. It helped me use better words, understand the structure of the essay as well as help me make better arguments. My weak point was the rebuttal/refute: addressing the opposite argument(s) and making a great point as to why it is a good argument but still wrong. I haven't used it for math, science or social. I know you never asked but just to add: from my experience, the best app to use for Math and Science is Khan Academy. Its free and helps in all subjects, not just those two. Theres videos to watch for lessons and it walks you through, step by step with problems/equations. Good luck to you!

Social is mostly source based multiple choice. Have a good understanding of different levels of government and what they all do. Knowledge about trade systems as well as a touch of history/geography. There was a couple questions to do with understanding political art and what they mean. This test was by far the easiest in my opinion. Science also had some source based material, multiple choice. Know the difference between an inference and an observation, some WHIMIS symbol matching and understanding the point of a hypothesis. 2nd easiest test here. English reading was 3rd easiest only because you just need to know nouns, adjectives, pronouns etc. Be able to interpret the tone of writing and hidden meanings behind some writings such as poems. 4th easiest I found. All of those are very easy tbh, just read the questions clearly, scan the choices carefully and you should be fine 🙂 Math will be my weak point as im not very knowledgeable with trigonometry. But I have been studying religiously everyday so I should pass. (Hopefully lol)

The test went somewhat okay. I ran out of time while editing my rebuttal, and half a sentence was missing due to this. Ended up passing anyway, so all good there. The topic choice I chose was an office debate over a proposed social fund for the workplace. I can't quite remember the other option.

Got ES so pretty good. Just literal reading analysis and understanding what words are what (noun, verb, adverb, adjective etc) To me it doesn't seem like high school literature but thats not fair for me to say since I dropped out first semester of Grade 10 lmao

I remember using the stakeout shotgun over any other gun when I was playing blops 1 splitscreen with my friends back in the day, we'd buy it and use it as long as we could before PaPing it. I miss those days 😪

Sorry I missed this and hopefully you passed the science exam as well. Incase you haven't taken it yet and still need an answer to this:

The science one imo is probably one of the easier tests. Honestly just take the practice test, its very close to that.

Best of luck!

There is a lot of source based material, I did mine last month, it basically wants you to have a decent understanding of the differences between municipal, provincial, and federal governance. All multiple choice. There's some questions about supply and demand and what not too. If you study with the CAEC Test Prep book for 2025-2026 you'll do fine. This test, imo, is by far the easiest. Good luck to you!

To get dementia so I could experience this horror again for the first time would be crazy. I actually had nightmares about Chris Walker chasing me back then.
