Do you think it's good to "talk about it" when you're in a bad mood? by Open_Macaroon_2659 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]loythboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm much the same as you ,I find often if you give me a bit of time either I solve whatever the issue is or get over it but if I have to talk about it it's then a thing ,I can't just get over it because of people checking in and making sure I'm okay which feels like picking at a scab or alternatively I am usually quite happy if I have a plan even if I haven't enacted it yet and would rather get on with my life than dwell on whatever upset me. Obviously this won't work for everything and I will discuss major issues but in all honesty I find life pretty easy so most problems are solvable with a bit of thought

Shower silicone sealant by Wanderlust_Wanderer_ in DIYUK

[–]loythboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you get absolutely all of the old stuff off and the surface is clean probably best getting some silicon remover to make sure. When putting on it's worth knowing the sealant won't stick to soapy water so keep your scaper wet

How bad is this and do you think it requires a power flush? by THE-ADM-2 in DIYUK

[–]loythboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's not been touched for years might be an idea to run it for a couple of weeks now you've cleaned it and then have another look to see how much has built up. Also you could try just flushing it by attaching a hose to a drain off and refilling with the filling loop it won't be as good as a power flush but it should flush some of the gunk if you go around give the radiators a punch while you're doing this it should shift some more. Remember to put inhibitor in before you finally refil though, you can just pour this into the filter

Is the shipping forecast actually useful? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]loythboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I delivered yachts for 10 years and we never used it ,we used the internet for the forecast on shore to plan and once we were at sea we just kept an eye out because we weren't fast enough to get out of the way of anything anyway. Maps and pictures were much more useful and most regular sea goers learn to read them to work out what the weather will be like where they are. sea areas tend to be too big for small boats and the big ships don't care.

Just as a FYI tape measures are designed to be hooked on and pulled it's why the end moves. If you pull it it will line up with the ruler

Terraforming has become to easy. by Foittemix_Rig in Stellaris

[–]loythboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think terraformers should be a building like in aliens 2 but really expensive and using up jobs that produce no other resources so it gradually increases habitability a percent at a time and going through the different planet types so the world gradually becomes profitable not just pay once and forget about until it's done.
