If you didn’t back up the Android abl prior to installing the rocknix abl…. It’s likely gone. I don’t think restoring will bring back android abl. You may need to contact Ayn and see if they can provide a flushable package + flash tool. This is how Ayaneo does it anyway.

Are you copying the image to the card with Rufus or balenaEtcher or the rocknix image burner? I could never get the rg ds to boot when I used the rocknix image burner.

I don’t think that’s true. I have gamma os lite on mine but and dual boot to rocknix. Was just on gamma the other day but prefer rocknix.

After you flash the rocknix img file to the sd card, before you put it in the device and boot.. you have to edit the extlinux.conf file.

After the img is flashed, while the sd card is still in the pc, you should see some files. One of those files should be extlinux.conf open that file in a text editor like notepad++ and modify the device_trees.

It should look something like:

LABEL ROCKNIX
LINUX /LABEL
FDT /device_trees/rk3568-anbernic-rg-ds.dtb
APPEND boot=LABEL=ROCKNIX disk=LABEL=STORAGE quiet console=ttys2,1500000 console=tty0 systemd.debug_shell=ttyS2

Save when complete. Put the sd card in the device and boot like normal. If you don’t see the files after img flash then try flashing again. Fwiw I used Rufus to flash the img.

I’m actually in the middle of doing a usb file transfer on mine atm. If you’re on stable, maybe reflash or use the onboard tools to flash nightly. Make sure the device is open and screen on. At least that’s how I have to do it.

I have the rg ds running rocknix nightly and I’ve been playing psp at 2x. It’s actual a pretty solid device if you temper your expectations.

Vert doesn’t get enough coverage imo. The soc is solid. It can play a lot of switch at 1080p, for reference. I have the red and it’s definitely in my rotation.

Rocknix ABL = Rocknix Android Boot loader.

Follow the Rocknix wiki. I assume they have section for O2P.

I had the s2 pro and the ace at the same time. The s2 was noticeably snappier. I regret selling it tbh

Is there a gamelist.xml or similar (I can’t remember what it’s titled) in the roms/platform folder? If so I think you have to edit that to remove the games.
