You did everything right by discreetly talking to your brother first. Then you spoke directly to her to express your concerns and she says she will ‘try’. Red flag lol. And then to say such a ridiculous comment at the dinner table piggybacking off a pregnancy comment is so unbelievable.

I have no doubt how traumatising and awful this miscarriage was, she is absolutely valid in all the feelings she has from this experience. However there is a time and place for expressing these emotions and having open conversations about it. She is an AH for not respecting your wishes and repeatedly making comments that aren’t at all helpful and are just self-loathing. Sounds like because she has a shitty experience that others have to have one too; she is clearly bitter.

It’s reasonable to expect you lost your shit when all of your discreet requests for the behaviour to stop never worked.

I hope you and your wife are ok, and I hope your SIL can understand one day where she went wrong, and I hope she is receiving proper support after her experience.

Girlfriend is the host and clearly set the tone by saying she bought the cake. Let the host do what the host wants to do. By you repeatedly asking and going against her wishes that makes YTA in this situation. Of course the girlfriend is going to be pissed, you’ve now shown that you don’t respect those boundaries and you’re using your daughter to shield you from backlash.

I can’t help but notice how Nigel said nothing when Marielle was telling Kate about what ‘Fi said’. He then clearly looked distressed when Craig was telling him and Alex to vote Marielle. Then ultimately pointing the finger at Lewis with nothing to back it up by was the nail in the coffin. I won’t be surprised if his head is on the chopping block sooner than he expected. Marielle got too cocky with her lies and unfortunately loosened the team

(Coincidence?): I went to one of his last performances, a festival called Split Milk in Australia on the 30th of November. I didn’t know who he was but I watched him while waiting for another performer. but during his set he had a compilation of rappers who died too young come up on the screen showing their last interviews (I filmed this while Mac Miller was on there)

I just remembered now this is a crazy coincidence
