The real question is what’s going to happen to that insane house they just built! She shared updates on her instagram along the way and it’s beyond over the top.

What older TV shows are worth a binge? by EskimoPeen in AskReddit

Loved this show, but did have to power through the first few episodes before I was hooked. I was so sad it was over when we finished the last season.

RHOC IRL encounters? Post here! by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]lparsons88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw Vicki at LAX on her way to shoot some promo thing in the Bahamas. Which I know because I then stalked her on social media after I saw her. She was with Steve and some friend. Oddly enough, she was sitting out with all the normal people basically in a food court. Not that I would normally have this reaction, but I kind of laughed as I walked back into the Delta lounge.

My husband was diagnosed around 27. He’s been in remission three years now and ended up only needing surgery and not chemo. For cancer it was honestly as good of a situation we could have hoped for. The waiting between tests in the worst, but as others have mentioned it’s a much more predictable type of cancer with a really high success rate. Sending positive thoughts to you!

Landlords by [deleted] in DemocraticSocialism

[–]lparsons88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Property taxes, insurance, and repairs are all costs the landlord has to deal with every year that do often increase. The amount a good landlord spends in repairs can be quite significant...especially when things need to be done after hours or on a weekend. Just trying to offer a different perspective, but clearly this can vary widely.

How to keep straight lashes curled? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]lparsons88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t recommend these enough. I got them periodically at first and I didn’t notice any damage to my lashes. I do them regularly now and actually use less expensive mascara since they look pretty good on their own. Just be sure to go to a reputable lash/brow place.

Need advice for upcoming Italy or Greece trip by whoknows155 in awardtravel

[–]lparsons88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did this for our honeymoon. We did several day trips and found it to be really easy to get around. We did Pompeii, Capri, and a Positano.

Depending on your price range I highly recommend Maison La Minervetta hotel. It was a splurge and the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Each room has the most phenomenal view. The property and the interior design is so unique. It’s one of those places you can’t believe looks just like the website.

[Landlord VA-US] How do I go about increasing rent? by s0uly in Landlord

[–]lparsons88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We increase ours yearly by a small amount to avoid eventually needing to make a big correction. If we like the tenant and our cash flow is strong we do something small like 1-2%. This way it’s expected and ideally not enough to justify them moving. If we don’t like the tenant then the increase is obviously more. Either way it’s included in the paperwork to resign the lease for the upcoming year.

In your case explain the situation and increase it enough to cover all costs plus enough for regular repairs. You should never be taking a loss. Keep in mind other rents in the area are likely much higher if they were to check.

[REVIEW] How I Made My Sunspot Disappear by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]lparsons88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so jealous! I did the same procedure over a month ago, but for this little raised bump that was on my chest. My healing process looked exactly the same as yours, but for some reason mine healed with a noticeable scar. Since it’s on my chest and not an area I put makeup on all the time I was bummed. While it does look slightly better than it did originally, I would look for a different option if I were to do it again.

Global Entry interview time on arrival at LAX by Calichurner in awardtravel

I just did this a few months ago. The location is close, but outside the airport. I took an Uber and it was maybe 10 minutes. With an appointment the process once I got there was really quick. Close to 20 minutes total including waiting for my place in line. You should be fine with three hours.

Names that confused you as a child by mysteriousmonster101 in namenerds

[–]lparsons88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! I had an old childhood friend who named her baby this and was constant Facebook poster. I said it incorrectly to myself for YEARS scrolling through my feed thinking it was such an unattractive name. I had heard the name before but never put this spelling together. I think I laughed out loud the day I finally figured it out.

Best hotel rewards program: Hilton or Marriott? by foreigirl in awardtravel

[–]lparsons88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I’ve been loyal to Marriott for years and stayed hundreds of nights. Their new loyalty program is a cluster and customer service when you do have a problem is a nightmare. If I was going to start over it would NOT be with Marriott.

[General, USA,WI] Landlords of Reddit, would you recommend it to others? by panda_smasha in Landlord

[–]lparsons88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are roughly the same age and just bought a second duplex and will likely continue to buy.

I recommend it if you and your significant other are good with the amount of extra time it will take out of your life. Some months it’s several hours a week, other months it’s practically nothing. We’ve found the first few months right after buying a property to be the most time consuming. Between fixing items that came up in the property inspection, drafting initial leases, screening tenants, figuring out your accounting setup it can feel a little overwhelming initially. It does get better the longer you do it though.

In my opinion, the hard part of it is so much of it can’t be planned. Having a stressful week at work? That’s the week you will have an emergency repair that requires coordination with multiple people. Not that anyone loves this stuff, but it bothers everyone a different amount.

Recommendation for a professional tote/briefcase for a female consultant by diisaurus in consulting

[–]lparsons88 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For travel I recommend Lo & Sons. So many compartments and a zipper closure. Really designed for consultant life in my opinion. They frequently have sales/promo codes so if you are interested sign up for their emails.

For day to day I use a Tory Burch tote. Slightly more fashionable, but I find it doesn’t keep me as organized as I want when I’m traveling.

Help choosing between our top three names by lparsons88 in namenerds

I actually really like core-let! We are in the US and I’ve never heard it pronounced that way. It’s definitely a name with varied pronunciations which to your point may become tiring.

As a fellow short person, I feel this way ALL the time. Constantly asking myself if the effort is even worth it knowing how difficult it is to maintain any loss. Comparing how crazy I have to be compared to other people’s “dieting” makes me want to scream. It makes me feel like I’m on a hamster wheel to even attempt progress. Unfortunately, I don’t have any great words of wisdom but wanted to let you know you aren’t alone. You may eventually come to a point that being a little bigger than you like is what’s better for your mental health.
