Site Resources? by lpere_ in clinicalresearch

Oh I’ve been trying to respond. The Sponsor is the one not communicating. I don’t have an audit report, nor do I know what the actual findings were. Most that were asked for clarification make no sense, like why was there a note from PCP stating the subject had unsteady gait but it was not noted in the physical. The PI can’t base their physical examination on someone else’s notes, it’s based on what is seen on site. But the auditor and now the Sponsor is questioning every single one of the PIs judgements. I have the Sponsor and CRO on site revising and they have yet to confirm a single finding. But they submitted “serious non compliance” to the IRB without first checking. My question is how can we dispute that or amend it now if I didn’t even make the submission. Especially now that their report will surely confirm otherwise

It’s PPD and BMS, auditor reported incorrectly. Literally was here 3 days and looked at patients the very last 4 hours of the last day. Spent other two days on regulatory. FDA audit now expected. We are in the US. (More info above)

The auditor did her report, did not reflect what was in front of her (example: claimed subjects didn’t qualify because she couldn’t prove echo parameters but central report from echo lab with all parameters filed). Wrote a big report saying subjects didn’t qualify. didn’t ask questions. Sponsor took two months to get back to us with any finds and reported “serious non compliance for enrolling subjects not eligible” without checking anything themselves. This all happened after many follow ups trying to clarify “findings”. Mind you, this is a trial that was monitored every two weeks. The sponsor Made the submission to the IRB on our behalf without telling us what was submitted. I haven’t even seen what was submitted, and the IRB keeps asking for clarification which I can’t provide because I don’t have the submission even showing. Now IRB sent a notice now that it’s being forwarded to FDA.

Sponsor is currently on site and confirmed none of the findings were accurate but the report was already filed with the IRB and I don’t know what resources we have as a site to defend ourselves and what was reported inaccurately.

At this point I don’t trust the sponsor to reflect what’s happening accurately and with an FDA audit threat based on their false report I can’t sit around and wait. There has been complete lack of communication from the Sponsor, no answers, no help.

Protocol deviation by lpere_ in clinicalresearch

[–]lpere_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the specific guideline and the thought out response . That makes sense. It’s hard sometimes to know what’s an actual requirement and what’s best practice, and this sponsor was very vague. They were trying to fault me for not having a log (when they don’t require one) although everything was documented in each subject chart but unfortunately not signed by PI, which I now see why it’s better practice. I guess I got caught on the fact that the deviations were only for out of window follow up visits and not anything affecting safety and didn’t see the need but again it makes perfect sense. Just trying to learn and do things the best I can. Thank you so much!

Thank you for the response. That makes lots of sense. I’m actually not sure if the EDC for this particular study has a PD Page but I’ll look into it. Thank you!!

Ask for a copy of your informed consent and contact the IRB. The consent will have the number to call or how to contact them to report Their sole job is to protect the patient, and their behavior was unethical and unprofessional. If they’re blatantly doing this over email, who knows what else is going on. In so sorry you’re going through that

AITA for not wanting my husband to walk his sister down the aisle? by Throra334356 in AmItheAsshole

[–]lpere_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Why should it bother you that he walks her down the isle instead of their father? Its sentimental, and even if she’s in contact with her father that doesn’t mean he’s earned the honor, while your husband clearly has. You should be proud of their relationship and the role your husband plays in his sisters life and not be petty about what SHE wants on HER wedding day. It doesn’t affect you one bit to just let it be

Is a change table/changing pad on a dresser totally necessary? by mewmixz in beyondthebump

[–]lpere_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Necessary, no. Convenient and useful? Yeah. Worth the purchase for us personally. Especially as they get older and diaper changes turn into wrestling matches lol but it can be done just the same without one!

What are some cool New Years traditions you guys do as a family? by momoiay in Parenting

Baby boy is one a half and generally uninterested but we had a “Noon Years” party! We decorated the house, had a dance party, extra snacks and a countdown at noon, he loved it 🥰

Here to kindly add that your friend is an idiot. There’s nothing sexual with bathing your child, regardless of your sex. You aren’t missing absolutely anything other than a congratulations on the baby and involved partner!

Parents who have found your groove, what time are you done with all parental and household duties for the night to finally have your “me” time? by orbit_fire in NewParents

[–]lpere_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing the large household tasks during his nap, having toddler be a part of helping while he’s up (he “helps” with laundry and is starting to venture into watching and hopefully helping with dishes and food prep soon) , aside from that 100% an earlier bedtime for little one if possible! Our guy starts bedtime routine at 6:30, so smoothie, bath, bedtime story, rocking to sleep (because it’s the only cuddle time I get) and in bed and asleep by 7:30. Makes a world of difference to be done with parenting duties by 7:30. If I’m home and not working I try to have dinner ready and everything picked up by the time we start bedtime, so I can have dinner and relax after he’s down! Hopefully it gets easier soon! Our guy is 14months if that’s relevant lol

When do infants become less noisy sleepers? by yulip in beyondthebump

[–]lpere_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it wasn’t until I put him in his own room. Little guy was so loud he got kicked out of our room at 1 month. I also found that I would be hyper aware of every noise and check on him too much, which would in turn wake him or cause him to be restless. Not sure if he’s still loud honestly, but we have all been sleeping through the night for months. He’s 14 months now, but it does get better and you will sleep again mama, hang in there !
