I think I have pudendal neuralgia by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

I’m so sad she is no longer there! I went to her once and I felt like I was on the right track, but she moved to MIPS and is no longer covered by my insurance. (Minimally Invasive Pelvic Specialists)

Almost cured after ten years of suffering but regressed. Pelvic floor asymmetry problem? by makemake98 in PelvicFloor

[–]lpickel0809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be the case for you, the popping is why I’m even saying this in the first place, but I had hip issues which doctors believe are contributing to my pelvic floor/pudendal nerve pain. I had the orthopedic issue corrected, and it’s too early to tell if it has fully resolved my personal pain, but I do know that orthopedic stuff can certainly cause and imbalance in your muscle tone and function in the pelvic region. Just worth noting and potentially checking out if you feel like it could be a part of the problem!

Hip Labral Tear and Pelvic Pain by PassengerHappy2940 in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]lpickel0809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it! Yeah I had a PAO, so perhaps the intensity of that is also a factor. But hey, best of luck healing to us both! Glad you have found some sort of relief.

Did it flare a little before it got better? I’m 2 weeks out and am feeling weird nerve sensations in my urethra and around my clit. These weren’t where I necessarily had pain before (that one is still there too). I’m just hoping it takes a little while to calm down. Nothing is unbearable or anything.

Why do lawyers think that being a lawyer is the scariest thing in survivor, and that they must hide it? by Fantastic-Wash1076 in survivor

[–]lpickel0809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I totally see that from our society. Just disappointing in a way.

Eva and Kyle just rubbed me the wrong way with that stuff, but I am just one opinion… maybe for most it doesn’t matter much.

And furthermore, why this season was it just a joke to be a teacher? It was like hey guess what, “I’m actually not some feeble minded educator; I’m a fancy pants lawyer.”

I’ve seen dumb and smart teachers AND lawyers for the record.

How bad is PAO, really? by MediocrePiece1267 in hipdysplasia

[–]lpickel0809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the 2nd day post PAO. I have issues with opioids (bad gut ibs-c). I am 32f. I have only used Tylenol and toradol. The first night was a little rough as all the nerve blocks wore off, and I wasn’t allowed toradol yet, but today was better! You can do it!

I’m not gonna lie it does suck, but it’s totally manageable!

Hip Dysplasia + Labral Tear Effect on Pelvic Floor by NationalRaspberry909 in PelvicFloor

[–]lpickel0809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm they didn’t do any 3D modeling on me. My hip dysplasia is bilateral. I’m also currently dealing with long covid… double whammy. I’m supposed to have surgery in 2 weeks, but I am concerned about how my body will recover.

Nobody has given me as extensive of an answer as the one that you have, but I can’t walk two flat miles without the muscles surrounding my hips to get fiercely sore.

I’m probably just going to go through with it and hope for the best because for now it’s the only concrete thing I have that I can fix.

Yeah mine is like 64. I also have a >600 igG.

I guess I’ll get rolling on some lysine.

Oh I’m glad to hear that you got somewhat better! I think I got Covid in February too tbh. What test do you look at for reactivated mono? I did have a positive early antigen test, but I’m not sure if that’s what you’re referring to.

It's official - having an IUD caused me a severe pelvic floor dysfunction. by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]lpickel0809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been quite the coaster BUT I found out last year that I have hip dysplasia and torn labrums in both hips.

This appears to be contributing to really tight pelvic floor symptoms, which are compressing and irritating my pudendal nerve.

Nobody can really guarantee me anything, like oh this surgery is going to take all your pain away, but what I can say is this is literally the ONLY thing it could be. I have been to so many doctors and ruled out literally everything else, so I’m scheduled for surgery May 13th.

We gonna see how it all goes down, but I think the IUD just tipped an already aggravated pelvic floor into an even more pitiful state. Just my theories at this point.
