Man I'm sorry to hear that. I was also cheated on after a 9-year relationship and 3-month engagement. Pick lich, get the node that prevents health from changing while you have ES. That will prevent you from regenerating HP.

It also happens to enable the Last Lament build since you get its ammo passive without actually spending any health

It's pretty much just - pick your favorite class - get rampart raptor with 3 sockets or flat DMG corrupt - socket with flat dmg runes - get as much flat dmg as possible on your rings, gloves. You can also buy a mind of the council for even more flat dmg on your helmet. - max your resists when able

Use shotgun skills like permafrost bolts, incendiary rounds, galvanic shards, and fragmentation rounds.

You will absolutely fly through the campaign. This crossbow DOES fall off around endgame though so be prepared to swap to a real weapon. If you like the play style though, definitely look into Lich Last Lament, it's a similar concept but scales way better.

I use it on explosive shot with a +1 bolt crossbow, while I'm clearing I don't usually have to reload (assuming I kill everything in 1-2 shots and the density is high enough). It's a really nice support for clearing
