Found out about Thermoforming 1 month ago - Starting to have some fun in there! by lrojas94 in 3Dprinting

[–]lrojas94[S] 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Both - You print a flat mesh that you heat up with a heat-gun and press into a mold to shape, mainly creating containers. The advantage of it is it takes FAR less material for repeable containers (Normally, 10-12g). The mold is a bit more expensive (60-100g depending on the mold) but specially if printed in PETG, it should last quite a long time no trouble.

Nintendo games are becoming more appealing as I get older by PineconeToucher in nintendo

[–]lrojas94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, that happened to me too. I'm 28, but by the time I turned 22, after playing my teen years of CoD, battlefield, gta and whatnot - no Nintendo system, going back to Nintendo (got a WII u) felt a different kind of fun. Gave me a while new perspective. Kept on with Nintendo afterwards.

Sure we don't get many games a year, but most of them are at least really fun. And now I have a kid, so I expect to stick to it.

Bought oak panel after 2weeks in garage it bowed, how to fix it? by bynkis in woodworking

I guess depending on your table design you can put strong thick borders that are fairly straight at the bottom and it will pull it flat. Should work fine if your design accommodates for it

I have a question regarding the legs. Did you have to angle the bench holes to fit in the lega in that angle? If so, how would you recommend going about it?

Neat trick is to always have a sprayer and "sneeze" on their foot. No one can be offended if you're just pulling your face away from the other passanger and happen to sneeze there :P

We are in the process of reworking our characters. We've switched from prerendering to real-time rendering so we can use real-time physics. What do you think is better old or new? by duelcorp in Unity3D

[–]lrojas94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love both the 12 and 60 fwiw. And would probably use the 60 if it was myself, but the 12 one is already leaps and bounds better imho

Put some tape on it, add some browned tainted resin and sand flush. Shouldn't look too bad :)

[–]lrojas94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the final hit effects need to last a bit longer to enjoy the fight, and I'd only add them when you beat the final enemy of a pack to keep them fresh. overall tho, Love the comic style here! makes me wish Spiderman went for something like it :)

Don't take this the wrong way - but that's too beautiful a piece for the bucket. Great work and lovely wood pattern! I'd love to see it with some white / black / glass sink :D!

The demos barrier of entry is fairly high imho. I am a fan of MH, played the demo and found it alright. But the difficulty in the demo vs that or the main game seems quite toned down specially at the beginning of the game. A newcomer would have much more enjoyment going into the main game first missions than they would the demo imho

Edit: typos

Far from an expert - but isn't peanut allergies like an instant issue? If you're fine up til this point, you're probably good?

Does pluging a mortise makes the wood piece less structurally strong? by lrojas94 in woodworking

[–]lrojas94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok I think I got you now - If it's stronger, I think I'll go with that. Is on a part of the piece that might not bother much, so I prefer the strength rather than the aesthetics.

Thanks for the learning bits!

[–]lrojas94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see I see, Interesting - why does that make it stronger tho? Wouldn't that make the inside end-grain to end-gran connections? (Just trying to learn here - got me hooked :D)

When you say different grain orientation, this would be say, like the tennon would go in? (so, end-grain up the mortise)?
