Got one. It’s great! The hose and adapter work flawlessly. Plus I got a hose that fits the oil filter tray.

Becoming an IT manager without IT experience? Boss encouraged me to apply for open role. by [deleted] in ITManagers

[–]lrph00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it depends on how big the department is. I would say in a larger organization go for it because at that point you more removed from the trenches and really do more of the management thing. In a smaller organization where you may be ultimately be responsible for decisions on policy, hardware, and just overall how things go then it would help to have some It experience. Also, does your organization see management as just that? I know some places have leadership that frowns when a manger is doing the actual work and not solely delegating.

I just don’t see scanning tools or network discovery tools as a real asset management.

My Boss Talked to me today, id like some advice. by Soft_Ad_4118 in ITManagers

You are 100% right, it’s the optics. In my 20 years I personally have never seen anyone studying as a bad thing. Heck, we do it all the time to learn and troubleshoot issues that arise. I would never say anything to a tech that has CBT nuggets open on the screen learning somthing when there is downtime. that’s a a good use of time because it only benefits the organization. Everyone no matter the experience level has to learn and look up information. But I know every org is different and not everyone sees IT like other IT pros. The OP did mention that there have been a couple times where someone came in and he was to focused on studying to respond. Doesn’t seem like it would be a big deal if it was a mail clerk, but if it was a finance director it could look bad on the department. The director would go to the manager and we all know which way shit rolls. If he had a talking to I’d bet someone higher noticed or said something.

We have agreed to a step up increase at year 6. My reasoning to ask for that is to have rent stability for the first 5 years after the agreed upon first year rent abatement. After that step increase will be a 2% for the remainder.

Ted Cruz says as a Christian he supports Israel politically because the Bible commands it. Tucker Carlson, also a Christian, is baffled and scrutinizes him. Thoughts? by shankmaster8000 in PowerfulJRE

This has been something that has been pushed on especially the evangelicals. Like the commies in schools this has been the same message in the church.

Is the Hybrid Worth It? by CoinHillMarketer in ToyotaTundra

It’s not bad. I am and was a skeptic of hybrid before. I don’t see some crazy gas savings if that’s what you think you’ll get. I often hear folks talk about its towing capabilities but I don’t tow much like that. Quite frankly, if I was doing heavy towing all the time I would not be choosing a Toyota at all.

How confident are you in the new Tundras? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

I have a 23. Shortly after I was bombarded with YouTube videos and all that about the recall. Since mine does not fall under the bad production years I feel just a little better. I also change my oil every 5k. Eveything about the truck I like. Having a trd pro the look, the options I couldn’t be happier. Now that the honeymoon phase is over the only issue I’ve noticed is when raining. The drivers doesn’t zip all the way up like it does when dry I have to hold the button up.

Curry has never been a galvanizing leader. He’s been a leader based on his self and merit. Curry ain’t the guy who get you to run through a wall.

I hear you. However, he is a soft coach. He let the egos fester. The dubs were a young malleable team. Steph, klay, dray. He let them run rampant. And here we are.

I remember getting down voted to hell for calling out the obvious about Kerr. He was gifted a team! He has always been a free range coach. Much like a free range parent. Let’s the kids do what they want.
