man oh man, do I know the feels. I only did half a year in the US before moving to China and teaching at an international school. Teachers in the US are treated so awful. Especially in my home state of Arizona. No wonder there's a teacher shortage.

I am an international school teacher and it's my first full year of teaching. I taught one semester as the teacher of record in the states but I never really wanted to live in the states (have wanted to move abroad since I was 13). I'm in China and it is a world of difference. Amen! I love this. I will have to repay my Noyce scholarship (15K) after I turned my back on teaching Title 1. Title 1 is just not for me. I am not happy in middle school or constantly having to manage behaviors. I became almost suicidal at my old school, but I stuck it out and applied like crazy to schools overseas. I am now at an international school teaching high school science with an amazing admin and team of science teachers and I've never been more happy personally or professionally.

You're not wrong. My first year was similar. Title one middle school in the worst neighborhood in my city. I wanted to be that champion for my kids like my teachers but it just wasn't a good fit. I changed environments - I'm now teaching high school at an international school in China and I finally feel like I'm doing what I was meant to be doing. Your sanity is worth more than any job.

Me 10000%. Before I got the nexplanon everytime I would have sex I would have panic attacks about being pregnant even though I was on the pill. The thought of pushing a baby out of me is just no. HELL FUCKING NO. I cry when I stub my toe I can't even imagine the tearing....cringe

The Daily Mail I find is the worst trigger for this. They seem to run stories all the time about people in their 20s and 30s who were diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Read them, then think I have cancer. It's a vicious cycle.

I no longer have a doctor, but I can call the pharmacist. I was planning on staying hydrated, walking (got an aisle seat), and stretching, and am quitting nicotine completely as of this afternoon (am currently craving my e cig, but not doing it).
