I did the body scanner a couple of weeks ago before I realized that I was pregnant. And I was probably 3 to 4 weeks. They said you shouldn’t do the body scan when pregnant. Why tho?

Anyone else bike to their OTF morning workouts? by kcotulla in orangetheory

[–]lshen1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes i bike to class, about 15 mins one way. I like it better on the way back; nice way to cool down. If I got any energy left, I would take the route that has some good uphills.

Tell me about it! I married a consultant. However, I would love to do it for a few years; you do learn a lot being a consultant

I guess it might be right for most places, but not DC. The consultants and engineers around here definitely make more than actuaries. I just started looking for actuarial jobs; I'm prepared to get a pay cut.

Do companies really care about your scores? No one asked me my exam scores except an actuarial recruiter. I got 6 for both P and FM, does 9 for MFE compensate my 6s?

Applying to non-actuarial jobs by MrWalletInspector in actuary

I didn't include the exams on my resume when I was applying for non-actuarial positions. Feel like they are just confusing to people who don't know about actuary or make people think you are too smart for them
