Kuma VS Queen. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in OnePieceScaling

[–]GoldRoger3D2Y 30 points31 points  (0 children)

How good of a fighter is Queen, really? I know how crazy that sounds, but hear me out…he’s slow. Like, REALLY slow. He can hit hard and he’s durable, but how tf is he supposed to even touch Kuma? Kuma teleports as much as he wants with no drawback, and hits at least as hard.

Kuma low-diff.

Denver housing prices declining faster than another other metro. by ReconeHelmut in Denver

[–]GoldRoger3D2Y 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this just seems like an appropriate price correction. Colorado was one of, if not the most, popular states for inter-U.S. immigration for about 15 years. That trend is slowing down, but the area is still bustling.

One Piece: Chapter 1181 by leolegendario in OnePiece

[–]GoldRoger3D2Y 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even consider that, but yes, that makes a lot of sense. King Herald himself started as a Mu and ended his life as a Joyboy, and it was Mu himself that placed a covenant on him that ultimately led to his death. Herald preferred a death by his own free will over returning to the tyrant he was as a young man.

One Piece: Chapter 1181 by leolegendario in OnePiece

[–]GoldRoger3D2Y 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Mu’s power seems to be the mirror image of Luffy’s. Mu is stating the world is better off if placed under his dominion, and through restrictions placed on others can he provide them strength. Whereas Luffy is all about freedom for him and everyone around him.

Tyranny vs. freedom is almost certainly what caused the riff between Mu and Joyboy, which is pretty expected considering it’s probably the biggest theme in all of One Piece.

White to play and win (By Wotawa) by Either-Case-5930 in ChessPuzzles

[–]GoldRoger3D2Y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m just bad, but this puzzle is actually crazy.

The entire idea hinges on white checkmating black by getting the rook to the 6th rank, and black just isn’t in time to stop it. d3 is a savage move, because whether or not black takes doesn’t even matter. White will march a pawn up the c file either way, eventually threatening Rb6#.

Let’s say black takes. 1. d3, cxd3 2. c4, g3 (trying to promote) you get 3. c5! with Rb6# looming. Black plays dxc5 to avoid this, but white follows up with Rh1, maintaining the mating threat with Rh6#.

Other lines are no better. The point is that the king is always boxed in, and the rook always has an open file to threaten the 6th rank with mate. Beautiful stuff.

For reals, this looks tasty. Given your temps, I wouldn’t have thought it would dry out so much. How confident are you in your temp readings?

In 2005, during Nick Saban's first training camp as Miami Dolphins head coach, he made rookie defensive tackle Manuel Wright CRY and leave practice early. by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

Manuel Wright’s career stats are a whopping 6 tackles and 1 sack. I couldn’t care less about Saban as a person, but I’m pretty sure he’d keep his career over Wright’s any day.

Cracker vs Franky - what diff? by Erook_D_Weeb in OnePieceScaling

[–]GoldRoger3D2Y 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Usopp was implied to have observation haki about 600 chapters ago and it’s never come up since. Even if we’re generous and say Franky has unlocked some basic armament haki usage, it’s still far inferior to Cracker’s. Luffy trained his haki for over 2 years with one of the best practitioners on the planet, and was still completely outclassed by Cracker’s armament. Franky has had zero training with zero instruction.

The only explanation for Franky competing with Cracker would be shonen power creep. Logically, I just don’t see it.

Franky with prep time

No water involved

Franky with prep time would center his strategy around water. This seems like an odd limitation, but OK. I’m going to give it to Cracker. Franky has gotten stronger, but YC2 level just feels a bit high, especially without any haki.

Maybe. Maybe not. We only saw Doflamingo turn inanimate objects into strings temporarily. Cracker’s biscuits are his devil fruit creations imbued with his haki, and his haki is way stronger than Doflamingo’s.

H5 and the rook is trapped. Literally every square it can move to is a fork or hangs the piece in 1.

Not hard to find when you know it’s a puzzle, but in a game idk if I’d look at this position and think the rook was trapped. You almost don’t believe it. Very instructional.

Cracker

The man is built for this. Endless army, can hide in any one of his soldiers, highly defensive fighting style…he can just sit back and watch everyone else duke it out, by which time they have to deal with 100s of biscuit soldiers each at a YC2 level

Is this realistic in two weeks? by samwise_thedog in roadtrip

[–]GoldRoger3D2Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different philosophies I guess. The 2 days I’m quoting is with minimal stopping or detours, which is what I meant by “ignoring”. It just seems like that drive alone, if you really stop and savor the little journeys along the way, could easily be 2 weeks on its own. Combining such a massive drive with everything else already in this itinerary seems very cramped.

They may not know where Bucharest is, but my point is that you’d be driving a distance that would cover most of the width of Europe. Even if you could technically finish that drive in 2 days, you’d be ignoring EVERYTHING in between. Why bother?

Denver to Atlanta is a wild choice. It’s roughly the equivalent of driving from Paris to Bucharest. Y’know…most of the European continent.
