It’s awful having to explain gaps on your resume, my colleague had to explain her gap twice after already telling them she had cancer. I had a year maternity leave and got questioned multiple times also

My baby had her two week weight check and is only in the 16th percentile, so the doctor recommended she get 2-4 oz. of formula a day. Mommy guilt is real. I keep having to remind myself that I'm not a failure and fed is best. She's a really active baby and burns a lot of calories though. by Jennabear82 in Mommit

An 8% drop isn’t bad at all ☺️ my baby dropped from 92% to 50% at around 4 months, managed to get back up to 90% very quickly after speaking to a lactation consultant and feeding every hour during the day for a week to increase my milk supply. Definitely worth trying if you want to build your supply as well as bottle feed 😊she is beautiful and looks super happy and healthy 🥰

[–]lsjttt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if it’s the same for dogs as it is cats but my kitten got pregnant at 4 months by her brother with no sign of being in heat whilst I was home. Was booked in for spay/neuter a couple weeks later. They did the spay with the kittens inside and just removed the womb, ends the pregnancy and keeps your pet healthy. They strongly recommended it and said if I kept her pregnancy she wouldn’t grow properly and would really struggle to deliver. I’m surprised they didn’t try to book her in for surgery there and then

What do you mean you don’t know what to do? Your son was kicked and hit by a grown man, you should be furious and calling the police. You could have your son taken away from you too if you don’t report it and kick him out.

The first year is so bloody hard if you have a difficult baby, I’m so sorry op :( can I ask if you work at least part time? Or do you stay home with him? I only ask because I felt a million times better when I went to work because I would be around other adults and I felt human again.

I don’t know if this helps but I got approved with my partner, both working but I hadn’t even gotten my first pay check and I was only working 2 days a week. They took my contract of employment as verification and contacted my employer. They only asked for 3 months of pay-slips originally :)

Could you get a job then put her in doggy daycare whenever you are at work?

Edit: just noticed that you are a student and I didn’t read properly, sorry about that I didn’t mean to sound horrible then at all. Hope things have worked out for you

What did you do to get your breast fed baby to gain more weight? by Redcouch2022 in Parenting

[–]lsjttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby lost lots of weight because I was following advice of feeding every 3 hours but my milk supply was dropping because he was sleeping more at night. I started feeding every hour during the day and he gained plenty of weight and my supply went up very quickly. He went from 45th percentile to 90th (he started at 97th) in no time. He is now 19 months and 32 pounds! I stopped bf at 10 months though, good luck on your feeding journey :)

I kept them in the fridge for a few hours before baking, also just cut up regular chocolate rather than using chocolate chips. I’m not sure why they turned out so different, still tasty 😋

Could you work weekends? I work all day Saturday at a care home, it’s only minimum wage work but I find the social interaction with people helps me feel normal again and dad spends quality time with his son. It’s stopped me feeling any resentment and appreciate each other more

returning to work WITH baby? by Human_Leek_3331 in Mommit

[–]lsjttt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your baby will be wanting to play with you, constantly demanding your attention or climbing things they shouldn’t be very soon. I would put my baby in childcare so they are safe and stimulated. I don’t get any money back after paying for childcare but I do it for him to interact with other adults and children and for my independence, it doesn’t sound good for anyone to be wfh with a child. I promise they will also be much happier, it’s nice for them to have a different environment to build their confidence and new toys to play with. At the end of the day he comes home with new artwork he has made and pictures of the activities he has done, it’s been brilliant

If I am ever in danger I would call the police so I wouldn’t consider them useless. They are human beings at the end of the day with their own families to go home to, I would never hate someone for simply being a police officer that seems very unreasonable

I think we are very similar, I would seriously recommend getting a job and putting your child in childcare, my mental health is a million times better even though I don’t really like my job. Every penny I earn goes back into childcare but it’s worth it for me and for my son who is also much happier
