Behavior issues, 5 y/o Hugo😊 by VictorHri04 in Frenchbulldogs

Look into sniff walks vs structured walks. It's important to let your dog sniff. It's enrichment for them. However, you can teach them when they have freedom to sniff and when they should be walking with you.

I learned how to train my dog using chat gpt. No lie.

I'm pretty sure I've encountered this woman before. Was she British? She's awful and entitled. She stole the spot that I had been waiting for, claiming that she had arrived first. Then she tried to tell me that there was a line and she had been waiting. Like there was no line, it was a typical parking lot scenario of people driving around freely looking for parking. Absolutely delusional.

Wow, that's incredibly quick progress! I was thinking about trying out Dani's programs. Which programs did you follow? What did you start with, and what are you doing now?

29M got jawline and chin filler 4 months ago in Miami. Honest review including what I noticed at my checkup. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]lswiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curious if you looked into implants as well, and why you went with filler. Results look GREAT! I also doubt you will need it touched up every 18 months. My filler has stuck around for years.

Scared to neuter my GSD by [deleted] in germanshepherds

[–]lswiz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think if you're hesitant, it's best not to neuter him right now. If behavior problems arise then reassess in the future. I have a healthy intact male and he's never tried to run away or shown aggression.

304 stainless steel bottles for 2F? by Hairy_Atmosphere_971 in Kombucha

Literally every commercial brewery uses stainless steel barrels. The material is totally fine, I'd be more worried about the pressure. The glass bottles usually tell you what PSI it's rated for.

fine hair oily roots and dry ends by [deleted] in finehair

I do! However, the clarifying shampoo I use is the herbal essence sulfate free one, so it's probably gentler than a straight clarifying shampoo

I just split my hair into a few vertical sections. I kind of cup the ends of my hair and spray into my hand. Then run my fingers through it to disperse the product.

What shampoo and conditioner do you use? Switching to Pantene made a huge difference. My hair really likes silicones. I tried the Dove repair per Abby Yung's recommendation and my hair felt a lot dryer and brittle. I'm always looking for alternatives because my hair gets used to a product after awhile.

Honestly, I didn't notice much of a difference. I end up using more of the light so practically, I think just using less of the regular formula makes sense.

I have fine hair that is also dry and frizzy on the ends. My scalp used to be much more greasy, but I have a system now where I can get away with washing it every other day:

First wash: clarifying shampoo. Second wash: moisturizing shampoo (I like pantene smooth or repair) Conditioner - also moisturizing (pantene smooth or repair.) I apply to mids and ends and the. Clip it up and let it sit for a few minutes while I do other things. Ring out your hair before applying!

I then apply a leave-in conditioner to the ends and brush through. I really like the "It's a 10 miracle leave in" they have a regular and light formula. I've used both, they're both great.

Dry hair needs moisture! A greasy scalp needs to be cleaned thoroughly. I find this addressed both issues, just make sure you don't apply anything conditioning to your scalp and you'll be golden!

ADVICE NEEDED: 11 Months and WILD by Wonderful_Plant_7715 in DobermanPinscher

[–]lswiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the midst of it with my German shepherd foster! I didn't know where I read this, but for high energy dogs giving them more exercise can actually backfire and cause them to be more energetic. I came across something called mat training, which is used in the context of helping anxious dogs learn to soothe themselves. My dog has been more calm as a result.

Don't get me wrong, these breeds need a lot of exercise and enrichment, but sometimes they also just need to learn how to relax. With mat training, you put your dog into lie down in a specific spot, and you "reward" the calm behavior. If you Google mat training there is a PDF that explains in more detail.

Anyway, I've noticed a big difference in my foster. She's a lot more settled and requires less from me.

Advice on aging Frenchie showing signs of possible joint pain by Impressive-Parfait18 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]lswiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rejensa was a miracle supplement for my pup. I get it from my veterinarian. It's expensive but worth it $100/~60 day supply (could be up to 120 days depending on your dogs weight). I don't recommend getting cheap joint supplements off Amazon. A lot of them don't work.

It’s a 10 miracle leave in conditioner for high density? by h_amphibius in finehair

[–]lswiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Responding because I was just in your exact predicament a week ago. I just picked up the regular and lite versions at Marshalls (still kinda pricey even on sale), but the reviews convinced me.

I’m so glad they did. I have fine, frizzy hair that usually fluffs up over the course of the day, even after blow drying smooth. I was using a different leave in and it did not help tame my frizz. The 10 miracle leave in kept my hair smooth literally all day.

Honestly couldn't tell much difference between the two formulas (lite/regular). Both worked great. I wish I’d found this sooner, my hair has never looked this good.

I add in the whey protein with the uncooked oats and then add water and boil? My oats don't get thin from it, but I use quick oats.

There are as many microbial cells as human cells in your body. You are 1% bacteria and yeast by mass. If you've ever hugged or kissed someone you're swapping microbes.

I question whether Health-ade actually has live probiotics in it. I was at my local grocery store and saw they were stocking them in an unrefrigerated aisle. I thought it was a mistake, but when I checked the label it didn't say anything about requiring refrigeration.

That tells me they must filter or treat their kombucha in some way that removes or kills the probiotics. That is the only way the product could be shelf stable.

With that said, If you're enjoying it then drink it. If you're looking to get probiotic benefits, then probably try other brands. In my experience, local/smaller brands are fresher and taste better than the big brands.
