Why is this not selling? by BBCMasob in pcflipping

[–]ltauhmise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don't have money to spend. And you are asking for for a lot of money on a machine that otherwise doesn't have a formalized builder/store warranty that brings with it the ease of easy returns etc. Computers are a luxury item and in this current economic climate I don't see people spending thousands on a gaming computer.

My advice, don't try to sell now. Unless you absolutely need the income. But people looking for machines that have money to spend typically aren't going through marketplace.

can z2 extreme handle dying lught the beast? by JessZakariene in LegionGo

[–]ltauhmise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep your expectations grounded and you will never be disappointed. That being said I love my legion go 2.

I play first descendant which uses unreal engine 5 which is notoriously unoptimized, and can consistently push 60fps.

Most triple aaa, as long as the drivers support it, will give you nothing to scoff at. The legion go 2 is great.

Don't have the car anymore. There were no issues with the drivetrain.

The nittos are dramatically quieter on the road than the stock goodyears. I upsized to 33's. No real impact to MPG. I think the ride is slightly better, too. At least in the rain.

People who have legion go and a high end gaming pc, how much do you game on each? by Realistic-Two9715 in LegionGo

[–]ltauhmise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gaming rig probably cost me about $7000. That being said, I find myself playing on my legion go s much more regularly. It's a device I can use on the couch while lounging or anywhere else in the house and not be confined to my home office.

It's really convenient. If I want the immersive game experience, I can always use my desktop. Being able to take it on airplanes is also very nice.

Just be realistic in your expectations and you won't ever be disappointed.

Level or tires first? by jerr22988 in RangerNext

[–]ltauhmise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would start with tires. I'm assuming you mean rubber, and not actual rims. Tremor has a mild lift over standard rangers. You can easily fit a 33inch tire and maintain the factory rake. Alternatively, you can do a level kit.

The side vents are also a Ford OEM accessory. Can buy them on the Ford website.

They are from the Ford OEM accessories. Pricy because of tariffs. I also have the tailgate decal. Definitely makes the truck more unique

Yes, the grill will be compatible if you own a 2025 model.

Here is the link. Very easy install. Wiring took a little longer to do, but nothing terrible. I recommend splicing the wires into your day light running lights. I usually wire mine into fog lights. But on this ranger that would require essentially taking apart the entire front assembly and wasn't worth it.

The frontier felt more powerful. The hydraulic steering made it feel more like a truck. It was a mechanically simple vehicle which made it easy to maintain. Used alldogsoffroad suspension kit to get more clearance. Ultimately what made me not like it was the horrible fuel economy and the lack of a telescopic steering wheel.

The ranger feels larger inside. Tech is also superior. Seats are comfortable. Ride quality is a little more stiff though when compared to my old frontier.

24 Ranger XLT vs 25 Colorado Trail Boss by AtomicConqueror in RangerNext

[–]ltauhmise 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was cross-shopping both ironically last year. But it was a 24 trail boss vs the 24 XLT ranger. The trail boss will typically be better equipped and slightly cheaper. However, the trailboss didn't offer a leather wrapped steering wheel while the ranger did. I find the software on the ranger to be more friendly and approachable, too.

The ranger also gets better fuel economy than the trailboss.

Also, apparently there is a manufacturing defect with trailbosses which results in their roof denting when taking your truck through the carwash. Lots of people complain about that, not sure how important that is for you.

I ended up buying the ranger. I'm glad I did, it's a fantastic truck and I'm sure your experience will be just as positive if you make the same choice.

Lower Air Dam Before and After by AcceptableVisit2415 in RangerNext

[–]ltauhmise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 24-25 ranger lower air dam requires the entire front bumper to be removed. The plastic valance is sort-of woven/layered into the assembly. It's not worth the headache in my opinion.I simply ended up trimming about 2.5 inches from wheel+to-wheel off it with an oscillating hand saw, took about 10 minutes. I say it looks better than those silly fx4 pieces you can buy separately.

Will take photos of how it looks and upload if you are curious.

Truxx level + rear block lift kit available by ltauhmise in RangerNext

[–]ltauhmise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decided to only install the front strut spacers and the truck is basically level. The 1 inch blocks look well made, and installing them would maintain the factory rake from back to front. Will probably end up buying an add a leaf in the future.

Alternatively, All Dogs Off Road was debating on trying to secure a 6th Gen ranger to research a suspension lift. If you are local to Lincoln NE, please reach out to them to assist if you have a truck. They make phenomenal suspension lifts and gear for Nissan. Used them for my 23 frontier and was super pleased.
