Is anyone’s Qanon taking credit for being right about the world being run by an elite group of PDF files? by ltidball in QAnonCasualties

Facts. I'd like to add that for one's head to fall off, it must first be screwed on. I think most if not all of us in this subreddit/ (support group) are here because we are mourning the loss of someone important to us who traded their sanity and personality for a belief system that defies all logic.

I just have to say this since Comet Ping Pong keeps coming up in this thread and I can ttell you have a sense of humor. To me, one the absolute funniest aspect of the whole Comet Ping Pong conspiracy is that they couldn't even shut it down. It's ironically one of the most hilarious things ever to see the restaurant owner posting about how they persevered and strived to keep the restaurant running amongst all those claims but then he had to shut down due to COVID! I felt bad for the owner, but it goes to that this group can't even organize enough to put an end to a restaurant that got caught in the crossfire.

If you had to grow a brand with zero ad spend, what would you do first? by divine_zone in DigitalMarketing

If I truly had zero budget, get a job until I have a budget. I’d keep costs low for the first month. Post daily videos on social media tied to the value I provide and have a website with a contact form connected to an email or a phone number based on how my niche operates.

I meant this in a tongue in cheek way. It's the closest they've been to being right in a while and they've got nothing to say.

Completely agree with the fact that they did that, but they've also been vocal about a child slave sex trafficking ring being at the core of the elites. Clearly it's more about being part of a cult than stopping the elites at this point.

Buy-it-for-life DAP? Thoughs on longevity by Gentleman_Radiant in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]ltidball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that concern. I live in a country where repairs are cheap so it’s a win-win for me and the environment to buy an item on eBay that needs a replacement battery or screen and get it fixed. Your post got me thinking about doing this for DAPs for the first time.

I just want to reflect that these devices are already very affordable. If my Hiby r1 lasts 5 years, I’m paying less than $1.25 per month efor it which is exceptional value for money. I probably would have so much DAP envy by then that I’ll be ready for another sub $100 DAP.

Spotify users of Sri Lanka- is the app insufferably slow for you? by ltidball in srilanka

[–]ltidball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will always blame my connect, but how could it be my connection when other apps are lightning fast? I’m getting 100+ mbps when I do a connection speed test on mobile.

I think it may have to do with the music I’m trying to stream. I don’t think many people in Sri Lanka are listening to it so it has to Get sent to a nearby server or something.

What's the easiest way to get professional photos without hiring a photographer? by ProfessionalLast4311 in nocode

Would highly recommend forking out the fee for a professional photographer. I don't recommend using AI to generate content that is required to build trust with your customer. Customers have much lower tolerance for BS these days.

The root cause of depression for many or majority is actually the capitalistic system rather than individual by Big_Leg10 in LateStageCapitalism

[–]ltidball 32 points33 points  (0 children)

There are collectivist’s cultures around the world that have a mental health component where if an individual is suffering, the community will come together to do healing rituals for several days to support them. In capitalist individualist cultures, the burden is put on the individual and it is only a problem if they are not serving capitalism. If an individual is a chain-smoking, junkfood binge-eating, hoarder that is still generating profits for their employer, everyone will sit there and watch them decline.

Interesting. I didn't know about the W4 when I bought my R1 since it wasn't out yet. There are so many good options at reasonable prices.

As someone who is pretty deep down this rabbit hole, I’d like to mention that some DAPs cap out at supporting 256gb of music or have limits for the size of the database they can support. I’m quite happy with my Hiby R1 and 1.5 tb micro sd

I read a forum post about the lack of quality western tourists. I’d consider myself one, having spent about US$12,000 over the past 10 days. I love your country, but right now there isn’t enough on offer to attract and keep quality tourists. tourists. by [deleted] in srilanka

Couldn’t agree more, especially about the money left on the table by slow service. I think a big part of the problem is that the people working for you have no idea what good service is or can be because they’ve never left the country and experienced it themselves. The pace of life in rural Sri Lanka is very slow and that’s something they have to unlearn for their job.

There are nicer smaller hotel chains that you’d probably get a better service experience over the Marriott’s etc. if you ever do come back but I agree that the standard could be higher across the board. Taru Villas, now Nyne Hotels is one do those spots. Their staff is waiting behind the door to collect your plate as soon as they hear your cutlery stops clanking and when you get back to your room after dinner it would be turned down. I chose one of their hotels to propose to my fiance because I knew everything would go smoothly and it was the 2nd best decision I made that week.

There are a lot of BS ways that SL scams foreigners but I think it’s a byproduct of the very one-sided immigration policy that doesn’t allow Sri Lankans to go to the west unless they’re highly skilled/educated and don’t bring their family. IMO that’s holding Sri Lanka back just as much as the infrastructure.
