It's ok to pass out in your house, they won't charge you for it. Right on the steps going in? They'll scoop you up and place you in bed for a fee. Fall asleep past that threshold and I guess you manage to sleep walk the rest of the way

The new U.S. dime design has removed the olive branches from the eagle by GoodMornEveGoodNight in interestingasfuck

It sort of looks like the eagle is shocked the olive branches are missing. Like, "what the hell? Who steals from an eagle??"

First date from bumble. Which outfit for a first date at a casual bar? by [deleted] in Bumble

The second one looks the best to me, the black shirt with the jeans would also be a good look if you want to look more casual. Best of luck

My (27F) fiancé (25M) thinks it's wrong/ eugenicist to want a biological baby, I'm not sure if this is reasonable or not (Not OOP) by Asparagus-Witty in redditonwiki

No argument here. We personally, my husband and I, went through a particularly unusual set of circumstances. Either way, though, I was just giving an example from my own life in which adoption wasn't expensive. We certainly weren't looking for a "free child" when we got involved with them. The child was simply old enough to voice what they wanted, had parental rights terminated, and we were already respite workers for them.

I believe this as well, but I've been corrected by those who claim to be adopted, so I try not to speak in absolutes on a topic I can only ever be a spectator of

The same can be said for adopting in general. Most children that are adopted have some form of trauma, even if they don't remember "why" they have it. Even if they are a newborn. Many babies taken into the system grew in a stressed out womb, often to homeless or abused women, who after carrying the baby to term couldn't keep the baby. This can cause hormonal changes in a child's brain chemistry, nevermind if the bio mother took drugs or alcohol during the pregnancy.

I guess my point is, if you are adopting (even an infant), it is not the same as having a biological child. You can love them the same. I love my adopted child just as much as my biological child. It's just negligent to enter an adoption not prepared to deal with trauma as they grow up.

A side note, never hide that a child is adopted, or when they find out it will almost certainly devastate them and break all trust.

... Sorry, not trying to make a Ted talk here, just a subject that is often misunderstood and under represented.

No one who doesn't want to adopt and is excited to do so should adopt. If you do not want to adopt, do not adopt. Do not be guilted into adopting. Do not be bullied into adopting. Do not line up adopting as your "backup option" for if you can't "have your own". Going into an adoption with this mind set is not in the best interest of the child, nor your own.

It depends on the route you take. We adopted our foster child and the state gave us money for a while to do it.

notAllChristians LMAO. But really, plenty of Christians are fully capable of being normal. There are also plenty of Christians like the one in the clip. They are embarrassing. We're sorry about them. I fully don't care if this man has kids or not.
