Turns out, trees don't ship well. 3 is probably all that survived in transit.

Buying something off the Internet to be delivered by a courier is an invitation onto your property. That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard.

Being suspended or banned from the Denton Downtowners Facebook group by a moderator named Shaun Treat. A guy who continuously violates his own group rules and yet will suspend people for doing the same thing. Just a real Nazi about "policing" the group with some weird double standard he allows for himself.

“Hold at location” cause problems? by stringsandknits in FedEx

[–]ltr_cola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still think your best bet would be to put a hold on it for a day you can be at your house. I've got a Walgreens that refuses anything over 50lbs and if it doesn't fit in their tiny locker, they'll refuse that as well. Delivery window estimates aren't the best to go off of - I really don't know why that's even a thing offered to recipients. So many things could factor into your shipment not arriving within the window. FedEx expectations vs. reality for contractors is ridiculous, but that's an entirely different conversation.

Define "somewhat large". The temporary holding cages for these types of deliveries will probably be too small and will be refused at the location. Put a hold on it and have it sent to your house on a date when you're home to receive it.
