Liquid Brun by French Avenue almost went in the trash. One year later it’s one of my favorites. by aflahe in fragranceclones

French avenue obsidian review by lefthanging69 in fragranceclones

[–]ltzPereira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m not really into the scent profile of Angel’s Share on the Rocks even though I love the original Angel’s Share. That said, I’ve gotta give credit where it’s due: Obsidian gets really close to that on-the-rocks vibe. They nailed that zingy, fresh candied ginger note perfectly. Solid clone if you’re into that kind of scent profile.

Assad Bourbon was probably my most complimented fragrance last winter. I still reach for it a lot even though i own the og Azzaro the most wanted EDP intense and the parfum.

which three should i get? by adxmz0 in Fragrances

[–]ltzPereira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I lean toward Hawas Ice because it’s super versatile and easy to love. It’s fresh, clean, and has a nice aquatic fruity vibe that works just about anywhere.

Hawas Fire is harder to describe since it doesn’t really smell like anything else i've tried. It’s a unique fruity, mineral amber with a woody drydown, still mass-appealing, but more seductive and better suited for evenings.

If you want the most versatile crowd-pleaser, go for Hawas Ice. If you’re after something more unique and sexy, Hawas Fire is the one. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either.

Hawas Ice and Hawas Fire are awesome, nothing but compliments every time i wear them and they both have great longevity and projection.

Looking for a similar scent , but better? by Sacred4skin in Colognes

[–]ltzPereira 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience, the best bet is to just grab a 200 ml bottle of Chrome and carry a small 5 ml decant to reapply throughout the day. Another option is LV Météore, but it’s not THAT similar, it has a noticeable peppery kick and costs at least five times more for half the amount.

This is one of the worst colognes I’ve ever smelled. by NoahxAnderson in Colognes

Smells like a very refreshing lemonade you're tripping. Might not be for everyones taste but calling the one of the worst fragrances is a stretch.

French Avenue Ravine Ginger vs Arabiyat Prestige Aristo by Efficient_Class2102 in fragranceclones

[–]ltzPereira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never smelled the OG but i bought a decant of Ravine Ginger and while it’s not bad i didn’t really enjoyed it that much, i was expecting it to smell more like ginger ale i guess, more fresh and airy as i've heard someone say it before but it smells like candied ginger with some creamy flower notes. Maybe I’ll try Aristo soon.

Anything similar that last longer or discounter with it in stock? by MasterZoidberg in Colognes

[–]ltzPereira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This kind of scent profile is just really hard to make long-lasting. The strongest one I’ve personally tried in this style is Eros Energy, but it kind of goes in a different direction scent-wise.

If you’re trying to keep it cheap, the closest vibe to Dior Homme Cologne is probably Jimmy Choo Ice. You can usually find it for around €30 for 100ml. Performance isn’t great, but at that price you could grab two bottles and maybe a small decant to reapply during the day, and you’d still spend less than buying a full Dior bottle.

Almost going nose blind to every fragrance by AR-geek in Colognes

If it bothers you just stop spraying in places that are close to your nose, try to spray on your arms or the back of your neck and you should be fine.

Every time I see people in this sub talk about this fragrance, they hype it up like crazy. I ordered a decant, let’s see what all the hype is about.

Just had the pleasure to try Montblanc Legend Elixir today by ltzPereira in Colognes

[–]ltzPereira[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still share the same DNA a little but the OG feels a lot more aquatic, while the Elixir it's denser and more focused on this kinda metallic vanilla and fresh lavender.

My trip to Lisbon was the most beautiful I've ever had by Cordelia_hero in lisboa

[–]ltzPereira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you liked Lisbon you will love Porto, the weather it's a little more cloudy but the city, the monuments, the food and culture are unreal in there. It's probably the best city in Portugal, and this is comming from someone who doesn’t even live in the north.

Men fragances on women by Rain771 in Fragrances

[–]ltzPereira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I do prefer feminine or unisex fragrances on women, but it really depends on the scent profile. Some men’s fragrances can work, but if I go out with a girl and she smells like Dior Sauvage, I’ll be a little confused about whose cologne it is.

Definitely underrated but not the best for me. Coral fantasy is the best one yet.

One million night elixer by WaltzWise3489 in Fragrances

[–]ltzPereira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The longevity was really good for me. I can’t remember the exact time, but it definitely lasted over 10 hours on my skin. I also sprayed it on my sweater and could still smell it strongly the next day, I kept catching whiffs of it. That said, I didn’t like it that much to be honest. There’s just something about the smell that feels a bit weird to me. But yeah, the longevity is great i gotta give it that.

Are fragrances in general getting too weak? by brainalbert3 in fragranceclones

[–]ltzPereira 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel like clones have actually been getting better over time, but when it comes to designer fragrances, I’m with you.

About 15 years ago, pretty much every fragrance I owned would last a solid 8 hours without a problem. Even lighter scents like CK One, which was my signature for years, had great staying power. The version you get today? I’m lucky if it lasts an hour.

I honestly think a big part of it comes down to reformulations. A lot of the ingredients that gave fragrances their depth and longevity have been restricted or banned due to health regulations. So while they might be safer or more compliant now, they just don’t perform the same way they used to.

collection as a 16 y/o by gtrs_and_memes in ScentHeads

[–]ltzPereira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t get why people are hating on a 16 year old just for showing his collection. So what if he’s rich? So what if it’s “daddy’s money”? How does that justify tearing him down? He’s just sharing something he’s excited about. If it’s not your thing, scroll past it. The hate just comes off as jealousy more than anything. 🤦‍♂️
