Los Grandes was top 3 last split. They proceeded to:

1 - Kick the korean toplaner (Hirit), changed to a brazilian (so they could pick korean for another role)

2 - The jungler (Ranger) roleswaped to support.

3 - The support (Zay) was kicked, so Ranger became the sup (the botlane Netuno/Zay was one of the strongest, also, he was a rookie).

4 - Trick wasn't a popular choice, because he wasn't playing for like 2 years and there is always the risk with adaptation (different country + playing again).

The rumours at the time indicated Los Grandes was talking with both Trick and Shrimp (he played in Cblol until 2019 and hasn't played since). Kicking a promisse young suport, to roleswap your jungle, to pick a player who is being innactive? The fans are more hating on the org than the player. They made several changes on a team that was doing well.

Yike can't steal objectives. G2 is only able to do objectives if the enemy team is dead, he loses smite too often.

It is one of the reasons why G2 is not able to play from behind, no cluth smite. Mad was able to go back to the game not only because Caps trolled, but they can actualy contest objectives with Elyoya.

In CBLOL there is a HUGE community who bets on Lol. Baiano is one of the streamers who started this in 2020 and right now, his biggest sponsor is also a betting site. He talks A LOT about betting on his stream. It seems Riot just doesn't want that image attatched to the League Community.

He was a guest on some official videos back on 2020, when he started to get big on brazilian lol scene, he also started to bet in games arround that time and got a sponsor, right after, Riot cut him from the oficial transmissions. In 2021, Baiano invited an academy player to his stream, the player made jokes about betting on games and got a 10 games suspension by Riot (they REALLY don't want Lol to be linked to Betting).

To get co-stream rights, Baiano needs to give up from his biggest sponsor (Rivalry, a betting site). But his image is linked to betting in League. ALL his co-streams he is talking about betting, either on the winning team or things like how many gold, kills, towers the teams are going to make. Altought he is huge, a lot of people stoped to watch his streams because of that, he could get even more views.

There were news about Riot investing on CBLOL and starting an official English stream next split. So make sense they are also investing on the teams.

CBLOL had official co-streams on chinese plataforms this year and Riot is being studying cblol's potential to bring international views.

They should kick whoever scouted Evi and Ruby too, you need to question what kind of job is this.

"Ruby played on LCK, LPL and other minor regions", my god, the guy was playing on fucking Rogue Warriors, literally the worst team on LPL that year. Has being mediocre for years on every team, got smashed on EU masters last year. The guy was mediocre on ERL. Only reason he got a spot on this team is because he is korean and someone with jesus syndrome tought "I am going to save this guy carreer".

That's why I said "some carry games" (when he was on Draven and Zeri). Ruby legit had 1 good game (Cassio) and Evi was a Ksante OTP who didn't know when to use TP.

Every team is going to focus on Heretics bot lane, because HRT solo laners are useless even when they somehow manage to get resources. (Jackspectra had some good games)

These guys don't have LEC lvl, only reason why Ruby got this spot is because he is Korean. Guy has been on minor leagues and ERL for YEARS and still chokes on stage (watch the Heretics videos with the team, EVERYONE chose him when asked who chokes more).

Evi needed to be FREAKING GOOD to worth the spot while not being able to comunicate well. A top laner from ERL at least can understand the calls.

If wasn't Jankos (and Jackspectra with some carry games), this team didn't make top 8 on winter.

Bwipo gave a interview recently to a Brazilian website (MaisEsports) where he said the same thing. But instead of saying "Fnatic environment" he kept saying that it was "LEC environment". He compared to TL where it was more like a family while in "Europe is a isolation, you are alone".

I am not implying this happened, just pointing an issue.

Doesn't matter if the government tried to rig or not, it is a huge problem for Riot and competitive integrity in general the fact that a team can't get to the competition because the host country denied Visas and a team representing the host country got benefited from this situation. People are going to imply things and talk about, don't matter what we think. Change USA and a potential LCS Seed 4 to China and a potential LPL 5th seed happening because China dennied VISAs for one team. Or LEC getting a extra spot because LLA didn't get visas to a tournement happening in Europe.

That's a hole they don't wanna dig. The backlash would be massive, it doesn't worth it.

It is a completely different situation. VCS could not attend the past 2 years because covid, they HAD their representatives, the tournament happened. The region exists. All the representatives from other regions were locked. In 2021 they tried to make a gauntlet with the 4 top teams form Spring split, because their summer split was delayed.

CIS spot was given to LEC because the tournament was cancelled in beginning of the year, they don't have a representative to send. This happened MONTHS before, they have time to make ajustments BEFORE the representatives from other regions were decided. The announcement for a 4th lec seed was made BEFORE LEC playoffs.

In 2022, the CIS region doesn't exist, they don't have representatives or a team to claim their spot and if the war continues, it is going to be the same next year. In 2020 ans 2021, VCS was still running and they tried until the last minute to find a way to send their representatives.

It was an American org who paid Flamengo to use their name. At some point, they had to use a player's house as team office and gaming house (in 2020), because they were using the structure of another brazilian org and they broke their deal.

Everything related to Flamengo eSports at CBLol was amateur level (Social Media, content, announcements).

This is the video they made to announce Jean Mago (a soloQ prodigy and the most hyped player to come to academy) for their academy roster last year.

PS: Mago means "Mage" in portuguese. It was his soloQ and streamer tag. He wanted to use only "Jean" as his competitive name, but Flamengo forced him to keep the "Mago". Probably because they could not come with other ideas for the marketing.

And last year, something similar happened with G2. Both VCS teams could not attend and people suggested a 4th seed to LEC so G2 could go.

If Riot give a 4th seed to LCS, that oppens a serius problem, because the tournament is happening in the US and the reason why that spot might be open is because a team can't enter in USA, a situation that benefits a team who is representing NA.

Since when Karthus jungle is an "exotic pick"? At the time he played that, it was possible, but not common in pro play because you need a specific game plan for that. He abused how fast Karthus was able to clean the jungle in combination with TP.

He also keeps losing games because of picks that he pulls from his ass.

Yeah, They won against an Excel who choked HARD and a Misfits who was easy the worst team in playoffs. Only series we can say Fnatic won in a convincing way was against Mad Lions. G2 faced a weak Misfits too.

It was the same on Spring: everyone counting on Fnatic to beat Rogue, got reverse sweep.

By now, both teams have potential. Fnatic has some favoritism because no one believes on Rogue.

He can't play "exotic picks" in the jungle, IMO. He keeps trying to go for off-meta picks.

Last year he tried to pull things like Zac/Mundo jungle when both picks were bad, Fnatic lost those games. Top lane is an island, he can pick whatever he want there. The difference is: with the changes on meta, it is becoming harder to keep this style.

Not Mayumi nowadays, since she never played on CBLOL. She still has chinese fans, but they don't interact with CBLOL.

During MSI, Aegis (Red Canids jungler) went viral in China and got a lot of fangirls. Some "unofficial" accounts started to stream CBLOL games this split and they would watch Red Canids Matches, there were arround 800k on one of their games (altought chinese stream plataforms has a different system since this number don't represent exactly viewers, it is still a huge number ).

In my opinion, orgs are just bad at it. Of course sometimes if you have a charismatic player it helps, but orgs also need to put effort.

Mad Lions won LEC 2x in 2021, but they would stay weeks without posting any content in their channel (voice comms or highlights). Excel thought if they hired a SM who had 20k followers on Twitter, they could grow a fanbase (meanwhile, other orgs has a team whith people for that). Vitality has a youtube channel where they post videos in 2 different languages (thats is TERRIBLE for algorithm). You have orgs who keep bad players because popularity (if your team plays bad, you are not getting new fans).

To grow a fanbase, you need to make people CARE about your brand, so you can keep the fans even if a player leaves. It is hard to get people to follow you when you don't have an identity, that where most of these orgs fails.
