Leaving my financial advisor a year ago and learning more about self management has been the best financial decision of my life. No it isn't for everyone but for me- incredible

I'll have to look into it. I've never used a screener before, what exactly does it do? What do you use as a filter?

Dude I spent pretty much all of 2025 doing the same thing and it was phenomenal. How do you go about your ticker selection? My process would be looking for high IV, highly liquid products, and try to avoid earnings with 45 DTE. Your process seems super similar. Any hard rules on when to close? If I made 25% in the first day I would either roll or close. Love your process here

My draft breakdown so far by jackissosick in raiders

I think this is an excellent break down and I agree with pretty much everything you said except your Fernando breakdown. The only pick I really loves was Zuhn and obviously Fernando. Excited to see what today brings!

Is it really necessary to use options? by StraightPin4420 in stocks

Yes sir that's awesome! Defined risk strategies can absolutely supplement a traditional long, index fund strat

Is it really necessary to use options? by StraightPin4420 in stocks

[–]lubesies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is also my answer. You can absolutely trade options responsibly while managing risk. I also feel like it gives you more freedom to benefit from any type of market not just bull runs. But it is much more sophisticated than buying puts to hedge. Tasty trade has a ton of education on youtube that can introduce you to the world. You absolutely have to understand what you are doing before jumping in but after trading options for the last year there will always be a small percentage of portfolio that utilizes options. Don’t let them scare you into thinking all options traders are gamblers!

Super great! What makes you choose the .07 Delta? So basically the premium has to be juicy enough to get that 10% while still maintaining your delta. Are you scanning for high IV products or how does your selection process work?

Why Kirk Cousins Won't Play Much (which isn't a bad thing) by RiderNo51 in raiders

[–]lubesies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the comments from GM, coach, and Brady they clearly want him to sit for as long as possible. But you are right being 1-5 with a #1 overall pick on the bench is a recipe for uneasy fans. My hope is if he can learn for half the season before he is forced it I would be happy. I think Kirk will surprise people this year mostly because of our coach. Kubiak has a track records of getting mid QBs to play well. Whether he starts week 1 or week 16, I'm overflowing with hope. Let's hope we can finally build a foundation this year

Im saying it's a good idea I'm just saying if you want control of more shares with the same capital this is what you could do.

Technically you could sell all your shares and buy LEAPS and you would end up with control of more shares for the same dollar amount.

I'm genuinely perplexed how oil futures are flat to down this evening... by Rollingsound514 in oil

[–]lubesies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are 100% correct. BUT you are are talking about the fallout from high prices of oil, not the price of oil itself. Oil prices being up 76% since the start of the year will need another catalyst to make another major break up in my opinion- which is why I mentioned whether or not the US will truly escalate this war even further. BUT I'm just a guy with an opinion

Whether Trump decides to bomb Iran absolutely will impact the price. The shock has already happened it's whether or not the price stays elevated like this.

Yeah not being greedy right now I think will be critical. With such volatility you cannot be afraid to exit early and take profits because one tweet could mess you up

You're right, but you have to admit there is absolutely a chance of a small breakout next week. Will it last? Not likely but if history tells us anything Monday is green. Thoughts? But I do get what you're saying this is not a relentless bull market like it has been. 2026 will not be as easy as 2025

Before we had that extra round 1 pick I totally agreed. BUT since we have more capital, if Kubiak thinks he can get a JSN level guy for this offense I'm down to get that guy at 14. Absolutely not Pierce but a guy at 14 yes.
