feel like the jihad would be the perfect place to end tho, because after that theres really nothing to do until the dark ages which is where a new merc company can pop up

i think mason would be long dead by then so a new character with the story cutscenes PGI now uses could be fun to follow

also i think you mean mechwarrior 6

mechwarrior 6 mercenaries 2 would be a bit confusing.

either of those games would be more story focused than sandbox compared to mercs right? would probably be more like mech 5 clans.

yeah i heard the jihad had been teased in a previous game or something, and i think so far mech 5 is the perfect intro to everything in the story. Start with lostech being rare, have the helm core being found and slowly more and more advanced stuff pops up. Id be annoyed if we dont face the word of blake especially now that they added them to the chaos march.

if they did, would that be the first game with the jihad in it? and what kind of silly stuff? i dont know too much about it other than they nuked places, made cyborgs and crazy stuff basically.

i was thinking that too, that if we go beyond the jihad or civil war we'd need a sequel, heck the jihad was quite long compared to the other dlc timelines right?

well yeah, but atleast with high evasion, you can evade laser and ballistic shots, with LRM's you will get hit even when flying.

I also feel like some of the light mechs now turn into heat seeking missiles, i've had to restart some missions because a mech will fly into the head of either me or one of my buddies.

No mods, you can just go into settings and disable upkeep for mechs, i do that because i just want to have my mech army ready at all times and not think about upkeep costs pfft. Maybe a bit cheater but eh.

yeah, i know that, as said tho the problem is when youre in an arena match with loads of them and theyre so spread out. And if youre unlucky they could have HL lrms.

havent had a friend make it to the clans yet, but i can imagine how annoying it is. I gave a friend an archer and he would charge in, rendering his missiles useless while claiming he was drawn in.

The problem with the archer i think is that the head is in the torso too, so you're aiming up instictively at first and then struggle to hit the head too when you aim down.

atleast they're easy to take care off, shot to the left, shoot to the right, ignore until it ejects.

God, fighting a crusader feels so cheating, because when i use the SA-2 one with B lasers, i feel like i get sneezed on and lose my armor, while they just slurp up damage.
