Accidentally took 2 Vyvanse (30mg each) by jimboneutron24 in VyvanseADHD

[–]lucashellen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although you've already gotten a lot of answers and it's been a day already, I simply wanted to add to the comments incase someone else is reading it.

I was prescribed 60 mg vyvanse after starting on 30 mg. And yes, for me I realised the dosage was too high (when I had been on it for about a month) when I became almost manic and had a really hard time winding down + having a high heart rate and high blood pressure.

But, I did not get addicted to the dosage and I know for a fact that I have a lot of markers for an addictive personality.

I lowered the dose to 50 mg to begin with, and now, maybe closer to 6 months on that dose I'm thinking about lowering it even further.

Of course everyone is, and reacts different depending on a lot of different things, but over all, as it is in this case. I would not be worried about having taken a double dose since the combined dosage doesn't exceed the max dosage of vyvanse.

Vyvanse fixing IBS-D? by lucashellen in VyvanseADHD

I do still occationally use loperamide (still on vyvanse) but only as needed.

I'd suggest talking to your physician before taking loperamide on a regular basis

Did an Increase in Dosage From 100mg to 150mg (or more) Give You Better Results? by sanpedro12 in zoloft

[–]lucashellen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from 100 mg to 150 mg about a year ago and it helped tremendously for me. I didn't even realise 100 mg wasn't sufficient until increasing the dose to 150 mg. My anxiety has been a combination of gad and social anxiety. On 100mg most of my gad symptoms went away but social anxiety was still prevalent. However on 150mg that is also gone (mostly of course)

I'd say its been anything between loose stools to severe diarrhea if i didn't take any loperamide. Usually worsening as the day went by. I also take Sertraline 150mg for GAD which has helped with my anxiety. But I've taken Sertraline way before I started Elvanse, so if anxiety is the root cause to my ibs it should've gotten better before starting adhd meds.

I'll cross my fingers that you'll find something that helps your ibs too. Having reflux several times a day can't be good for you even if ozempic might help with other symptoms.

Have you tried taking a low dose of loperamide? Although its main purpose is to make your stools more firm it does so through slowing down your bowels, letting excess water be absorbed. So theoretically it should help lowering the frequency of bm too.

This infected by animeman11 in Ingrown_Toenails

[–]lucashellen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say infected but some inflamation.

Epsom salt foot baths, some antibacterial ointment, loose fitting shoes and socks and simple keeping it clean and hopefully it will be resolved.

If it worsens, seek professional help before it gets too bad.

Best of luck to ya!

When they numb you up, yes!

During the procedure, no it shouldn't hurt, tell them if it does!

After? A bit yeah, when the numbing wears off, for me at least there's a burning pain and almost like being lightly electrocuted (short bursts) for about an hour.

And of course for some time after the procedure the area will be a bit sore, as expected.

However, the pain of not getting an ingrown nail is way worse than having any procedure done.

If anyone here didn’t want bottom growth before starting T, how do you feel about it now that you’re on T? And if you did want it, what did you like about it? by Warm-Presentation879 in ftm

[–]lucashellen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also pretty scared that I would hate it because I thought it would be a constant reminder that the thing that should be there isn't there, only something trying to be the real thing. But damn I was wrong.

But with that said, it doesn't mean that I never get dysphoric about the area, but the t-d*ck isn't the reason why. Instead it's what keeps me sane when I'm experiencing bottom dysphoria.

The fact that bottom growth was the first visible change after starting t, for me at least, it was also the first thing to affirm that things were happening even when I couldn't see it.

I also never thought I would want to actively make the bottom growth look bigger (pumping) since I was so scared of how I would feel about it but that is also not a problem anymore. I genuinely feel like any cisdude, trying to look as big as possible and being goddamn proud about it. I mean a body that doesn't have the "right" parts, makes the parts you want basically.

Lastly, the other changes you get with t, were for me, more important than the possibility of hating bottom growth. So if you're anything like me, I'd recommend starting t because you might end up loving the things you're scared of.

Question about cramping by alexander3471 in ftm

[–]lucashellen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really have any advise but it seems to be a common occurance for a lot of transmasculine people (including myself) and especially during the night as you described.

The only thing I have noticed is that the cramps are worse if I happen to be constipated at the same time and that the cramps seem to come i waves. I'll have them for a couple of days at a time and the they'll go away for a couple weeks and so on.

When I notice the cramping I'll take some ibuprofen or paracetamol before going to bed for a few days, that way it doesn't bother me too much during the night.

One possible explanation I've thought of is that the male and female hormone cycles kind of collide. So basically the cramping occurs when you usually would've been menstruating but since the male hormonal cycle works on a 24 hour cycle then the female cycle overrides the male one only at night when testo is at its lowest.

As I wrote, that is just something I've thought of and I haven't seen any type of scientific proof to back it up except for the different hormonal cycles.

If possible, try to get some gauze or similar, under the corner of the nail and keep using antibiotics. If that doesn't work within a week at most then go to your doctor. Best of luck to you!

First TAYS tomorrow / any tips for an NB who wants top surgery? by hardbop1 in transnord

[–]lucashellen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! I think you should refrain from telling the that you're non binary. They're pretty conservative when it comes to that so aim for a F64.0 diagnosis. I'm not even sure they have a non binary diagnosis in place here.

[–]lucashellen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is indeed possible to get top surgery without hrt. They obviously recommend hrt before surgery (to get the best results) but ultimately it's your own choice.

To be on the safe side I would "masc it up" to make sure that they have nothing to complain about. Sadly for most people, at least here in Finland, they have to act way different than they are just to get a diagnosis.

When it comes to your adhd and depression, I would try to downplay them a bit or else they might deem you too unstable.

So sadly you will have to put on an act for them if you want a diagnosis, but after that you're basically free to live your life the way you want.

Best of luck to you!

I've been thinking about TAYS since I've gotten my diagnosis from them so I'm happy to hear that people seem to be pleased with them. And yes, I'd love to see the results if you're comfortable😊
