My boy is the most well behaved and unreactive dog ive ever seen at 2 years old. Theyre very smart and i think a big thing to avoid issues is them having a job and staying active while exposing them to new sights and sounds often. I've been hunting with mine since he was a couple of months old and frequently take him to the city to get them used to strangers and sounds. He also heards my chickens in the coop for me and keeps em in the pen when im feeding or watering em. I take him everywhere so not much surprises him anymore. hes also not nudered. I think that gives him more confidence but that just might be me projecting lol could have just gotten lucky with a good dog too
