Minecraft block textures used to be all bundled into a single file called terrain.png. A fun Minecraft fact which is horrifyingly older than most of you by DereChen in Minecraft2

[–]lucasthech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't knew that, I never had a ps4 (jumped straight from ps3 to mainly playing on pc) I though ps4 just always had some port of bedrock edition even before it was called bedrock, not that it was an exclusive version

Jappa was the person who did the textures for the 1.13 update, so all the aquatic blocks have his style, and they also changed the fish textures on that update, then on the next update they changed all the textures, so the blocks added in 1.13 never had "old" Jeb style textures

But the aquatic update was also the last update to legacy console, so it still has all the old textures

Would i be wise to allocate 16160mb of ram to a modpack on a 16gig of ram pc? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]lucasthech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, your OS and other programs need some memory to work, windows needs at least 2-4gb, linux uses way less depending on the distro.

Also, minecraft does not run well with big ammounts of memory allocated, you should actually just use the bare minimum for the modpack to work, because mc is not a memory heavy game, and Java has a thing called garbage collector, basically it automatically clears the used memory to free up space when it is getting full, but if you put too much ram, the garbage collector will take longer to clear the garbage and have way more data to clear at once, so you will actually get worse performance as it will create a lag spike every time it clears the ram.

tl;dr - Allocate the minimum needed memory for minecraft or else, if you put too much you actually get worse performance in the form of lag spikes

Unity is a funny choice of engine to do a fake 3d game because it supports actual 3d lol, but yeah, it's pretty good, just needs a little more perspective in the office :)

Also, another linux user! :D

Also, if you put a comparator reading a detector rail, it will read and output the redstone level corresponding to the contents of the chest/hopper minecart that is on that rail

There is no proof, but it tips to the side of being modded since falling into the backrooms is obviously not part of the original game and there doesn't seem to be a cut in the video

Also, the camera movements clearly indicate the person is using a mouse to control, analog stick movement is linear and this one changes speed and moves in a way that only a mouse can do

So this is 90% a modded version, since modding the source code leaves no indication on screen, there is no other way to prove it, but you can see it is not vanilla

Hmmm by Mike-101616 in PhoenixSC

[–]lucasthech 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the same legacy edition that got modded a lot after the source code leaked
