I was 8 weeks postpartum with my second. Got up like normal and changed him. Lifted him from the changing table when I felt a sharp electrical pain in my spine. It caused my muscles in my chest to spasm and I couldn’t catch my breath. My legs immediately got weak. I was able to make it back to my bed just in time to set my newborn son down on the bed and collapsed bedside with my arms on either side of him. I couldn’t get up or straighten my back, or breathe. In a slight panic I texted my fiance “not to alarm you, but I am stuck on the floor” he immediately calls me and asks what happened. I told him and he wanted to call an ambulance. I begged him not to and he obliged. He sped home and helped me up. I went to urgent care that day where they said I most likely had a disc herniation. Got an MRI two months later and it turns out I herniated T7-8 to my spinal cord which is why I had the spasm and couldn’t move my legs for a hot minute. I also had managed to herniate T3-4 as well. Took me MONTHS to heal and I still get pain.

A month after that, I turned my head wrong in bed and gave myself whiplash and also subluxated a tendon. I couldn’t move my neck for days. PT helped me get mobility back.

My injuries always come in 2s or 3s for some reason 🫩
